Michelle's Naturally Vegan Choc Chip

I found these Chocolate Chip cookies at WF today. I have been craving a really good chocolate chip cookie for a while. I wanted a thick chewy one that you can really sink your teeth into. These cookies are very good, but not what I wanted. They are not too sweet, in a good way, so the chocolate chips really make the cookie, But, the cookie is a little dry for my taste and I … [Read more...]

RUN 11/29/2008

I ran 16.75 miles today. I was supposed to run 17, but I'm lucky I made it that far. I was psyching myself out the whole run. From the very beginning I was telling myself that my legs felt tired, that maybe I should just do 14 today and increase my mileage next week, that I could just run as far as I wanted and call the BF to come pick me up. I just wasn't excited about the run … [Read more...]

Eat 11/29/2008

I was super hungry after my run - which is unusual. I think I may need to start eating more before or during my long runs. Before my run I ate half this Clif Bar. I ate the rest after breakfast and gave a bite to the BF. After my run I had a bowl of cereal. This is usually what I crave after a long run. The BF is sick and wanted a Cold Buster from Jamby to make him feel better. … [Read more...]

I am thankful for Beyonce…

My family didn't go around the table this year saying what we were grateful for and I was disappointed. I told the BF when it was my turn I was going to say "I am thankful for Beyonce." Seriously, after I saw her Single Ladies video I was so thankful that you don't have to be anorexic to be considered hot. I am thankful for Jennifer Lopez and Kate Winslet too. These ladies are … [Read more...]

No Run 11/28/2008

Today was a rest day so I just took a long walk. I am glad I wasn't scheduled to run today since I am still feeling bloated from eating too much yesterday. It felt great to take a walk though :) I have to work a bit from home today and then have some errands to run. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! … [Read more...]

EAT! Thanksgiving 2008

After my run I still wasn't hungry from eating so much the day before :( But I knew I should eat since we have a late lunch kind of Thanksgiving meal around 2pm. I had a big bowl of cereal...My mom had to go to my grandma's to help her make the stuffing so I was running around all day cooking and setting up tables and getting everything ready. I seriously felt so busy all … [Read more...]

Run Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope you all have a great day :) I did 7 miles this morning and walked about 1. I couldn't do any more than that since I still felt bloated from overeating yesterday. Oh well, moving on - I did pretty good considering, right? Now I'm watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and I have to start cooking my dishes. I am making cornbread … [Read more...]

Eat 11/26/2008

I wasn't even going to post because I had a horrible binge day today and why relive it here for the world to read? But, my oatmeal this morning was so pretty (which is rare for me) and I wanted to post at least that. I chomped on grapes all day, I always do this and I tried to stop myself by serving it in a little bowl, but I kept going back for more anyways. I didn't have time … [Read more...]

Run 11/26/2008

I did 5 miles today. I couldn't decide if I should do 4 or 5 the entire time I was running since I want to do a good run tomorrow and don't want my legs to be too tired. When my Garmin hit 4 I felt good and decided to just keep going. I am not sure how many I am doing tomorrow. I know there will be lots of food later, so I want to get a few good miles in before the food fiesta … [Read more...]

Eat 11/25/2008

Breakfast was oatbran with a perfectly over ripe naner and crumbled granol-y bar.I had blackberries for a mid-morning snack.I had to pick something up from the store and ended up having a few samples, plus some chinese food (my coworkers brought back food from lunch). I heated up a frozen meal when I got back to the office, but I only ate half since I was full from all the … [Read more...]

Run 11/25/2008

6 miles this morning. When I hit 6 I was still about a quarter mile from my house, but I stopped to walk for a cool down. I am sad because I didn't have time to walk the dogs. Boo. I am going to get home too late to do it after work (it will be dark) . I will promise my dogs I will walk them double tomorrow, but I don't know if they understand English. … [Read more...]

Paso Robles Wine Tasting

Cindy and I were up bright and early to go wine tasting. It was a beautiful day in Paso :) Harvest is the end of August. Now all the grape vines are sleeping...There were beautiful fall colors every where. The area is very hilly and beautiful. It is a gorgeous drive through wine country to get to the wineries.  I could not get enough of the beauty...We hit up a bunch of … [Read more...]

Eagle Castle Winery

We went to Eagle Castle Winery for lunch, oh yeah and wine tasting of course! This winery is designed like a Medieval Castle. It is  decorated full of period pieces that give it a very old feel even though it's relatively new. This winery was founded by a couple who love castles and have traveled around the world touring them. They came back to Paso and built one! The wife was … [Read more...]

Starbucks Oatmeal Review

Normally when I am on a trip I pack breakfast foods since I am a cereal or oatmeal girl not really eggs or restaurant breakfasts. When I pack oatmeal I make hot water with the coffee maker and mix it with oatmeal packets. When I pack cereal I buy a non-fat milk from Starbucks (or wherever) and pour the cereal right into the cup. I packed cereal since it had been so warm I … [Read more...]

Happy Monday :)

Happy Monday! It's a short week - working Monday through Wednesday then off for the holiday!  I love Thanksgiving! I think it might be my favorite holiday, or really it's tied with Christmas. It's one of the few days a year that I enjoy an indulgent meal guilt free. Guilt free is the key term here, don't get me wrong I of course eat indulgent meals other times - I just feel … [Read more...]
