Road Trip

by runeatrepeat on November 13, 2008

The BF and I are usually road trip fiends! We are always going somewhere. Seriously, in the last year and a half we have been to:

Yosemite (3 times)

Costa Rica

Paso Robles 2 or 3 times

San Fransiscoand Napa

Cruise to Ensenada

Florida 2 times? (that is cheating because his family lives there)

New York

Palm Springs

Solvang

Big Sur

Vegas (I don’t have pics of the time I went with the BF, but it was just like this only tamer)

…and probably places I forgot to mention. The idea I am trying to get at is – we are crazy! We love going new places and seeing new things. This is something I really wanted to incorporate into the blog, going new places and trying to stay healthy at the same time. Well, we had to put some of our trips on hold because he is taking a couple of super hard classes for his Master’s and I shouldbe studying for the GRE (should is the key word there).

Well, enough is enough and we need to throw ourselves a bone here so we are headed to Paso RoblesSaturday the 22nd. It’s just for 1 night, but I am super excited! I will continue to blog about the sights, sounds and tastes of our trip. Yeah!

For those of you who don’t know, Paso Robles is wine country in Central California. I am in SoCal, so this is only a 4 hour drive versus the 8 hour drive up to Napa. I love Paso so much. I think the wineries are sooo much less pretentious than Napa, and for those of you who know me by now, you know that I am casual. The time before last when we went to our fave winery in Paso we joined the wine club so we would have to go up to get our wine every 3 months or so. Well, time’s up! and we have to get wasted get our wine. In a week and a half I am going to be drunk and happy with my new stash of wine.

OHHHHH, BIG SUR! I went there in 2007 with my family. I recommend going to the restaurant Nepenthe. The food is great and the view is breathtaking. It’s a restaurant right on the cliff!!! Enjoy the view-its the prettiest car rides in the world!!
