Breakdown

by runeatrepeat on May 5, 2009

Well, it seems I’m not the only one having a stress breakdown. I had a very good, long conversation with one of my bestest friends and she is dealing with a lot of “life things” right now too. She has decided to turn to alcohol in these trying times, while I visit good ol’ ice cream.

Together we have decided to join forces and deal with our problems instead of drowning them in wine/cookies n’cream.  It feels good to know you’re not the only crazy one around :) and talking about it really helped.

Run – I thought I would take another easy day and just go out and do a few miles, but I ended up doing 5 miles at a pretty good pace! The whole time I was thinking about eating too much last night and how to stop this habit. I got really lost in my thoughts and didn’t even realize how far I’d gone!

I ran past a school cafeteria this morning and it smelled like raisin bread, so that plus a smoothie were on the breakfast menu.

I made cinnamon toast and PB with naner toast on Ezekiel Raisin Bread. My smoothie had 1cup blueberries, spinach, water, 1/2 scoop protein powder. dscn8439

There is a Cinco de Mayo pot luck at work today, but I brought my lunch. I have been to too many potlucks here where there ends up being nothing for me to eat besides what I brought. (I guess everyone here loves fried chicken and chips.) But, if it looks like it’s going to be a good one I’ll go out and pick something up from the store to add the the pot so I can partake!

That’s great you can find support in a friend and help her out as well. It really does help to have a support system!

Great looking breakfast!

Wow that raisin toast looks amazing. Why have I never thought to put banana on it before??
Guess what has just gone on my shopping list!
