Paso or Bust!

by runeatrepeat on June 20, 2009

We are on our way to Paso Robles right now! It’s a major caravan and I”m driving up with my mom and Matt and a car PACKED with wedding stuff.

I’m worried that I forgot something, but at this point I have to just go with the flow and enjoy my wedding weekend :)

DSCN0841Before I forget…just want to note that I’ve been eating way too much ice cream this week. I need to get back to normal eating NOW.

Yesterday I was doing all the last minute preparations all day and didn’t get to sleep until midnight. I had to make the table name labels, pack, get toiletries, hit up Michael’s crafts, go to Kinkos, make shirts for my bridesmaids, wash clothes and a lot more!!!

Today I woke up anxious so I ran 3 miles and walked 3. Normally I don’t run on Fridays (Rest days are important), but I think it’s good for my nerves to get a run in.

Since the wedding isn’t until 6pm tomorrow I will have time to go for a run tomorrow morning.

DSCN0842After my run today I made a smoothie and toast.

I also had some pretzels since they were here. I used to be obsessed with pretzels.

Wedding Details – I have so many wedding details to catch you guys up on (if you care).

DSCN0834Wedding Favors – Since we are having a destination wedding in California’s Central Wine Country, Paso Robles, I figured a wine favor would be appropriate. We made personalized labels and stuck them on Two Buck Chuck from TJ”s. DSCN0832

DSCN0836Welcome Bags – A destination wedding means everyone is coming from out of town so we had a lot of bags to make.

DSCN0837Inside are 2 water bottles (I ordered personalized labels and didn’t get them in time), mentos, Slim Jims (my mom’s idea…), a wine opener and cute Romeo and Juliet candy.

Bridal Gifts – I got tote bags for my girls and got them their shoes and a pair of earrings to wear for the wedding. And I printed out pics from The Hangover Bachelorette Party and put a few in frames. I also made them shirts that we’ll wear to the rehearsal dinner, so you’ll see them tonight.DSCN0831

DSCN0838These are the table numbers – I named each table for a place we’ve been. We are actually doing long tables with 12 each, so we don’t have that many tables.

Plans for the rest of the day include dropping off welcome bags at hotels, putting our stuff at the rental house, getting to the ceremony site to walk through & figure out how I am going to walk down the aisle or stairs…then, the rehearsal dinner. It’s going to be pretty informal since it’s at a hole in the wall and I told everyone to come cas :) I need a margarita…
