Pumpkin Chips & Pumpkin Dip

Just when you thought you’d heard of everything pumpkin flavored I bust out Pumpkin Chips! I found these a while back at the Nut House, but have been holding on to them. Well, I brought them with my lunch today and gave them a whirl.IMG_1698

I would love to say that they were amazing, but they weren’t. My first reaction was that they were gross. I had a co-worker try them and he said they are gross too. I ate a few more to give them a real shot (I wanted to like them), but nope – they are a weird texture, almost ashy? And I wouldn’t buy them again. IMG_1700

The rest of my lunch consisted of leftovers. Those pumpkin chips were supposed to be the highlight of it, but disappointed.IMG_1703

I brought cereal and nuts for my afternoon snack. After I ate the nuts out of the cereal I added soymilk and ate it that way 🙂 Actually bringing cereal as a snack is a great way to get my cereal “fix” and not feel like I was snacking when I’m not supposed to.IMG_1704IMG_1705

Pumpkin Dip – I made the pumpkin dip Caitlin mentioned recently for dessert. But, ended up eating so much of it I wasn’t that hungry for dinner. (I also busted out an apple to eat with it and tried it on a piece of bread.)IMG_1708

Dinner was spinach cooked up with tomato paste and spices (one of my fave ways to eat veggies) and cheese toast. IMG_1710

Now I am blogging away, reading emails and have already brushed my teeth. I went over my (website) recommended calories today so I am going to close the kitchen for the night at this point 🙂

Former track champion is the Director of the Chicago Marathon. I think that is a very cool job!

Social Media – Do you use MySpace, Facebook and/or Twitter? This article says the social networking sites you use say a lot about your social class.

Only 2 more days until I go home to California!!!

i actually really like that soy milk. i had it at my aunts house in San Fran. she got it at Costco. i can’t find it where i live. I just buy a big case of 15 Silk from BJ’s and substitute with almond milk (love this stuff, little more expensive though!). grat day of eats it looks like you really enjoyed your meals yet didn’t go overboard.

I hate when the hype for a product doesn’t deliver. Shame, they had so much potential. Food Should Taste Good should work on a pumpkin chip!
