I Fell…Again

by runeatrepeat on December 24, 2009

I always say that I fall about three times a year. I was super nervous I was going to fall at my wedding and luckily I didn’t. But, I did fall today. Hard. (This is the uneventful recap of my last fall while running.)IMG_3447

I went on 3 mile run with my friend, Susan…IMG_3451

We had just started running and mid-sentence my foot hit a bump on the path and I completely ate shit. I guess this is why I run alone. I can’t talk and run at the same time!!

So, I ran the rest of the way and realized my hand was bloody. But, I didn’t realize until I got home that I banged up my knee pretty bad too. Ouch! Ha, I have goosebumps! I’m even cold in California.IMG_3461

But, on a positive note – Susan’s BF Rondell is the one who met Meb recently. He totally got hooked up with a bunch of PowerBar loot and she brought me a whole bag of goods!IMG_3453

This is great!!! I have a ton of chews, bars and gels now. So, I’m very happy despite the fact that my hand stings as I write this post :) IMG_3463

When we got back from the run I had a bowl of many cereals and an orange. Plus – bites of Ben’s breakfast burrito – because you’re can’t come to Pico without a breakfast burrito. Fact.IMG_3465

Now I need to take care of some CA business and then get on baking cookies!!!

Note to self: Slow down with the snacking, it’s really adding up and you’re always too full.

I fall running all the time. It is a joke with my husband. If I come home from a run without tripping or falling it is a good day.

Not to worry, I fall too. It’s been about 6 months now, so I figure I’m due soon and have been watching my steps carefully.

Nice job on finishing the run, even after the fall. I may have just called it quits at that point. Also, way to go on the Power Bar loot – good stuff!!

Aw sorry you fell, but actually it makes me feel more normal because I’ve fallen pretty hard in the last 6 months and really screwed up my knee. Hope yours isn’t as bad as mine. Enjoy your time in CA- we’re having great weather for you so I hope it keeps up :-)

I just got a 305 for christmas and now I kind of want to see what it feels like wearing it on the inside of my wrist from seeing that picture! haha. I used to always wear my watch pointed in like that because it’s just easier that way but I stopped a while back for some reason.

You got the same chews that I just got! The Banana Strawberry ones. I’m saving them for my next long run :) (which is a little more than half of the long run you just did the other day! haha)

I hope your hand and knee feel better soon! At least you didn’t hit your chin on the ground… THAT is an embarrassing scab! Been there, done that!
