Feliz Navidad!

by runeatrepeat on December 26, 2009

Hello and a belated Merry Christmas to you! I’ve been having too much fun and too much food with my family. The combination of being on “vacation”, the holiday and so many family events has me up a few pounds fast! But, I’m ready to get back on track because I want to feel better.

California eatin’ has included tamales, lots of tamales, I’m glad we only have them once a year…IMG_3540

and avocado scooped up with chips straight from the peel. Amazing stuff!!!IMG_3468

Also, my cousin made ribs for Christmas Eve because he knows how much Ben loves them. Ben’s hoping this will become a new tradition! IMG_3475

Some of my fam on Christmas Eve…IMG_3488

There were a few drinks enjoyed… IMG_3478

and many, many cookies too (I lost count, but I would not be exaggerating if I told you I ate all of this plate over the last two days) …

Christmas morning we woke up bright and early to take the dogs for a walk before opening gifts… IMG_3495

I tried to give them their presents, but they would not stay still for a picture! IMG_3490

Then, it was present time!!! IMG_3507

and it was the first Christmas Ben and I spent together :) Last year we spent the holiday with our own family and then I went to FL the 26th. IMG_3504

Then, it was off to my grandma’s for the 27th feast in two days… IMG_3553

This is my brother and his girlfriend…

It was a good day full of eating and eating and a little other stuff :) We made a full on T-day style dinner and I didn’t get any pics because I was too busy eating, again.

Today Ben and I woke up and took a drive back to the LBC so I could get in 11 miles. I did it in under 1:38 – I haven’t ran all sub-nine minute miles in a very long time. I love running on the flatness!

I think Ben wants to come back to Cali too. I found a bunch of “For Rent” signs he took pictures of while I was running. Wishful thinking?

I ate two bowls of cereal and some blubes for breakfast. Now I’m talking to my BFF on the phone and blogging.

See you guys in a bit!

I was just thinking that I haven’t had any tamales this Christmas, and that’s just wrong! A woman at work makes and sells them though, I think I need to put in an order.

Glad you’re having fun…I know what you mean about being ready to get back on track. I’m right there with ya.

This post was awesome! All that great food, especially those tamales has me hungry for sure! And I eat avocados just like that, any way I can get them out of their skin the better. It’s great to see another blogger who promotes intuitive eating, thank you!
