SUSHI

by runeatrepeat on March 11, 2010

I have been craving sushi since I went into Trader Joes last Friday and almost bought some. I stopped myself because I had plenty of other food at home, but I have been thinking about it ever since.

Well, I wouldn’t be honoring Intuitive Eating if I kept ignoring this craving, right?

So I finally stopped at Trader Joes on the way home from the gym to buy it. I told myself this was the ONLY ONE thing I could get though. I have been really bad about spending too much money on food lately. IMG_6191

When I got home I dug right into the brown rice California rolls and had some carrots and hummus on the side. Do you think I love CA rolls because they have CA in the name? Hmmmm…IMG_6193

For dessert I grabbed a handful of candy and wanted more, then I realized I should just have a sweet and healthy treat – I went with a Kashi bar :) IMG_6194

Now I’m off the Physical Therapy! Wish me luck – I want to get clearance to run this weekend!!!

Ah I LOVE sushi and that looks better than any store-bought sushi I’ve seen around here! :)

Sushi is always a craving I give in too.

Good luck at PT. I know the feeling of wanting that running clearance soooo badly!

A craving for sushi is a beautiful thing and one that must be obeyed!

I’m over the top impressed that you were able to go into a TJ’s and only come out with lunch. So disciplined and I can’t even imagine trying that! Nice work!

I love the WF sushi. I actually prefer their brown rice stuff to anything white rice from a restaurant.
And re: Your last post, spoon all the way!

I didn’t know Trader Joes sold brown rice sushi rolls! White rice makes my sugar levels go crazy, so I’m really excited to hear this!

I tried sushi for the first time the other day at EarthFare. I loved it! You’ve inspired me to get some this weekend. I can’t wait!

Sushi is such a great, clean, healthy food (most of the time!). The price is the only thing that keeps me from eating it twice a day, every day. I hope your PT appointment went well!

Sometimes, you just have to give in and give your cravings a chance. But only if you know you can control yourself.
