Monday Mini-Goals and The Jersey Housewives

Since I stayed over at my mom’s I hung out with her while Ben slept in. Then, we walked the dogs and started the day with eggs, turkey sausage and toast. So good. IMG 4959 800x600 thumb Monday Mini Goals and The Jersey Housewives

I helped clean up a little from the party and finally headed home around noon. First we stopped at a local place for some Menudo = the hangover cure.20120617 125408 thumb Monday Mini Goals and The Jersey Housewives

Second stop was Costco for supplies and samples wlEmoticon smile13 Monday Mini Goals and The Jersey HousewivesIMG 4961 800x600 thumb Monday Mini Goals and The Jersey Housewives

When we got home I took a shower and parked myself on the couch for the rest of the night. Highlight of the day was this smoothie with tons of good granola.IMG 4967 800x600 thumb Monday Mini Goals and The Jersey Housewives

I watched Oprah’s interview with the Kardashians. Eh, all their answers are like a politician – they know the right answers to keep em looking good, it just didn’t seem real.

And the Real Housewives of New Jersey! Thoughts: Teresa doesn’t get it. She doesn’t want to go to therapy because she’s over the past, but she’s pissed about something Melissa did 2 years ago? She just seems so fake and dumb –> “She’s like Heckle and Jive.”

Monday Mini-Goals!

Since I spent my Sunday on the couch I didn’t put together my little plan for the week. So here are my Monday mini-goals…

1. Find a pool to swim at!

2. Fix my bike!!

3. Get to bed by 9:30pm <- we’re waking up earlier these days and I need 8 hours.

4. Put together my Fitness Bucket List

5. Close the kitchen after dinner

Question:

1. What are your goals for the week?

2. Thoughts on the Real Housewives of NJ?

I’m sad that Teresa cannot see anything from someone else’s point of view. She can’t admit wrong or find any fault in her own actions. It’s frustrating because I want to like her and I want her to mend relations with her family, but right now I am NOT a fan.

I totally agree with RHONJ. Teresa just doesn’t get it and it’s sad. I don’t blame Jaqueline for wanting to distance herself. She was totally contradicting herself. Jaqueline just wanted Teresa to know she can turn to her and tell her the truth It’s sad because kids are involved. When we have money problems, nothing like Teresa, my husband and I cut back, I don’t see her doing that.

  2. says

Gah! I need to watch RHONJ! I just need to admit to myself that I watch it and add it on my Tivo. I know there’s a replay on tonight. I hope that they start to show us why Jacqueline wouldn’t show up to the interview show.

  3. says

I agree about Theresa. It’s hard to really believe anyone can be so stubborn and blind to their actions, but for some reason, I still want to like her. It’s amazing how normal she was on apprentice and what a nut case she is on RHONJ.

  4. says

I completely agree about Theresa! It is like watching a train wreck in progress! She contradicts herself all the time. I would love for her to work things out with her family because the rest of them seem understanding and want to help.

My goals this week are to run 20 miles….cut back on the candy (YIKES)….and pack our house up!

  5. says

I had to stop watching this season. She is incredibly ridiculous, never makes any sense, and never considers anyone’s feels but her own. I wish Bravo would give her the boot.

Goals: Run, eat clean, and take advantage of my lack of meetings this week so I can get work done at the office!

  6. says

I’m so sad we don’t get Bravo regularly–love me some Real Housewives and Top Chef. Every once in a while I’ll be flipping through channels and find that we’ve got a month of free preview, but it never lasts long enough. :(

My goal this week is to up my mileage for the RW Run Streak and to try to do abs at least three times this week.

  7. says

I wanted to punch Theresa in the face! I really liked her at one point in time, but now she just loves all the drama over really stupid things.
Goals of the week: week 8 of couch to 5k program!

  8. says

Goal: don’t do anything to embarrass myself at my internship. I start on Wednesday and am always afraid I’m going to trip or ask a stupid question before starting something new. I’m a clutz…it happens, haha.

  9. says

Great list! I don’t currently have a bike, getting one is high on my list of things I’d like to acquire in the very near future. In the mean time, I can do a rental at a local bike shop and that’s high on my list for day adventure!

  10. says

My goals this week are to relax since I ran a marathon yesterday! Then I want to get in some bike riding later this week since I just got a road bike! I’m excited to read about your fitness bucket list!

  11. says

I am with you on the going to be early thing. I have been getting up earlier to get my workout in and I NEED sleep (or it’s not pretty in our house). My goal this week is just to get though another week of training. Pretty uneventful huh?

  13. Shannon says

RHONJ ~ personally it looks like to me that everyone on that show is a hot mess, except for Chris (Jacqueline’s husband).

Goals for this week are to go to bed earlier, get up and hit the gym first thing. I’ve made a list for each day except Sunday and laid out my clothes to try to help achieve this goal.

Hope you have a nice week ahead! It is always a joy to read your blog:)

  14. says

I am not on the RHONJ boat and have no idea who Theresa is :( But it sounds interesting!

Goals for the week…mostly stuff having to do with my business.

  15. says

I totally had to stop watching RHW(of any city) I just couldn’t take it any longer!

On another note, I totally need some mini goals for the day.

  16. Sarah says

Bleck I stopped watching RHWNJ after last season because I got so frustrated with the inane bickering (and frequently in front of their kids too). You simply can’t argue with stupid.

  17. says

My goal of the week is to get at least seven hours of sleep a night, getting up a 3am for work makes it hard because going to bed at 7pm is not fun!

  18. says

I want to like Theresa too. I feel bad for her families situation. She’s very defensive. I think she’s trying to keep her problems behind the scene, but its making her look bad. Especially because everyones confronting her on TV & it doesn’t help that its all over the news. OMG. I need to stop watching these shows…lol. its hard not to…:/
