WIN a RunDISNEY Trip by finding Glass Sneakers

I was born and raised in Southern California so trips to Disneyland were a part of my childhood. I’ve had an annual pass on and off since junior high school.

So, I am a Disney fan through and through.

Okay, this one is a fail. My mom has hundreds of pics at me at Disneyland growing up, but for some reason I only have this in my picture box so you’ll have to pretend it’s a mouse and not a dog. Use your imagination.

Exhibit C: Grad Night at Disneyland! This was on Splash Mountain.

Exhibit D: The Walt Disney World Marathon was my second marathon and even though I was sick when I did it, I survived with a smile. (The pics are not showing up on this post right now.)

Exhibit E: I ran the Tinkerbell Half Marathon as Ariel and had a blast!

But, even though Ariel has my heart and my hair, I have always had a fondness for Cinderella too.

So when I heard New Balance was making Glass Running Sneakers I wanted to play along!

Unfortunately, that was just for show and you can’t actually get a pair. But they are offering something even better – a trip to run the Disney Race of your choice.

Zappos and NB have partnered up to give one person a RunDisney trip of their choice! To enter you have to find the Glass Shoes on the Zappos website.

The grand prize winner who finds the glass sneaker and successfully adds it to their mobile shopping cart (as if they are buying it) receives an all-expense paid trip for a family of 4 the Walt Disney World runDisney event of their choice, 4 1-day Magic Your Way tickets, and the one-of-a-kind pair of glass sneakers.

Go here to enter the Happily Ever Excellent contest.

I think the first time I went to Disney world was when I was 4-5 and then we went back again when I was about 14. I don’t remember the first trip too much but I know when I went the second time I had a blast!!

So cool you get an annual pass, I’m born and raised Northern California, but I would move just for that!! First trip to Disneyland was at 6, (we’re planning to go next summer when my oldest graduates high school, eek!). I’ve only been to Disneyworld once, I was about 23 or so. Would love to go back but with 3 kids it is so expensive to fly and everything!!

I’m originally a So Cal girl so I’ve been to Disneyland a million times. I have specific memory of my mom surprising us with a trip to Disneyland by blasting some Disney music to wake up in the morning. Happy times. I’ve never been to Disney World. I will have to change that one day.

In 2nd grade I went with my family to Disney World. We drove to FL from WI in our motorhome and camped the whole trip. I can’t wait to go back when I have kids! I think every kid should get the opportunity to go at least once.

Not only have I held numerous annual passes, I even did a short stint as a cast member. I sold (*cringe*) hot dogs, beanie babies and frozen lemonade. I’d die of embarrassment if someone found a photo of me in a horrible Adventureland costume.

LOVE your throwback photos. Especially the one at Knott’s!

My first trip to Disney World was when I was 4 or 5. The thing I remember most was when Snow White came up and kissed me on the cheek during one of the parades. That and buying a Cinderella wedding dress from the gift shop. I was such a princess girl.

I am 35 years old and I’ve never been! My first trip will be January 2014 and I’ll be running the Dopey Challenge. Can’t wait!!

This is embarrassing and sad but I’ve never been to either Disneyland, Disney World or any Disney theme park. It’s true! We don’t have one over here and even though I’ve been to Hong Kong and Paris, I always wanted my first visit to be in the US.

I am one of those people with a runDisney addiction, mostly because it combines two things I already really enjoy separately: races and trips to Disney World. And there’s some sibling bonding because I always go with my sister. I remember going as a teenager and my mother hated Disney World so much she walked down main street telling me to cover my ears because they were brainwashing me. She can be a bit of a buzzkill.

The only time I’ve been to Disneyland was when I was 5 (24 years ago) so I definitely don’t remember that trip. Although there are plenty of pictures and videos of it!

I do remember traveling to Disney World a few times. I loved staying at the Grand Floridian. :-)

I have NEVER been to either park. We lived in the middle of the nation (Nebraska) and only took driving vacation, so both parks are a little too far. I would love to be able to take our son some day!

  12. Christine says

Sadly I have never been to either. I live in Canada so it’s a flying trip to either California or Florida. With 5 siblings, it was too expensive for my family to go. Now that I am married with 2 children of my own, I am definitely hoping to go sometime in the next 5 years.

  13. Janay Campin says

I actually have never been to DisneyWorld and would love to go! I can’t wait until I can take my kids there. I have been to Disneyland when I was 21. Still a blast!

  14. says

I can’t remember how old I was. Prob like 7. I love disney but hate it at the same time. The overpriceness of it. But love the magic behind it!

  15. Kim says

My first trip to Disney World was when I was 3 I think. I’ve seen the pictures so I know I was there but I don’t remember much. Many years later I now have an annual pass and have run 2 of my half marathons there! My first trip to Disneyland will be in 2 weeks for the Dumbo Double Dare and I cannot be more excited!

  16. Annemarie/Carmie says

My first Disney World trip was when I was 29 (and expecting – so I couldn’t go on many rides more exciting than Small World). I’ve been almost every year since – even got the Disney Visa card. I have not yet done a Disney Race. I started training for the Wine and Dine once. My first half was on an airport runway in Maine. Probably the opposite of a Disney Half! I want to win this contest!!! Woohoo!

I was probably 5 the first time I went… I t was waaaaaaaay back in the day when they had E tickets! I miss living 15 minutes from Disneyland. It was awesomeness!

  18. Brie says

I was only a year old when I first went to Disneyland. I also went when I was 12, 14, and 18. I would love to go back as an adult!

Back in 1970, we moved from Indiana to Apoka, FL (which is just right outside of Orlando). I have a picture of me, my Mom and my grandma taken outside of the park – or just right inside of it. It I remember the stories correctly, the park wasn’t even complete when the picture was taken. I was but a “wee lass” so I don’t really remember it. A year later we moved back to Indiana. I didn’t make it back to WDW until 1982-1983, when I went as part of our show choir. SO FUN!!

I’ve only been to Disneyland once back in 1987 (I think…too long ago)
