Motivation Monday–Run It Out

Happy Monday! How are you feeling this week?

Well, if you are feeling less-than-amazing I have some motivation for you to keep sweating!

First, I was so weirded out by my weird food picture that some of you caught yesterday! I didn’t realize the picture was distorted and had no idea why. Finally I figured out that I took a bunch of pictures after the race because I was a little shaky and my G+ combines them so you can do an action shot.

I had done these action shots before but I never noticed it saved weird until yesterday! Ha!

make sure you don’t have it set to only instant upload when you have a wifi connection. Also, it’ll sometimes take a few minutes to upload.

And YES editing! You can do a whole bunch of photoshop-esque things right in your G+ account!

I’m at a 10! I went to 5:30 a.m. spin class and swimmed 40 laps after class. And I have a foot injury! People look at me weird at the gym with my boot foot, but if anything an injury should inspire you to take care of yourself even more, right?!?

DANG IT! I am at a 1. No, seriously….maybe a -10!! I had a busy weekend and then over ate (even if kind of healthy…I over ate and heartburn from green peppers/onion/salsa etc…on the taco dip isn’t nice at night when I want to sleep) during the not-so-super-bowl. ;-(

The weiner dog (not calling him by name b/c I am mad at him and when I am mad he is just the weiner!) starting whining at 2:30 last night…hubs put him out to potty~ but that didn’t suffice ~ weiner kept whining until 5:30 when I got him out of the kennel.

NO SLEEP for me = Crabby Kathy and a weiner dog that is being ignored.

Sorry to hear about your lack of sleep. My dachshund would never be ignored. He always finds a way to my lap and I’m sure yours will also:)

Motivated by all the CHEESE I ate yesterday! Must burn it off!
    Hydrate. Run. Repeat.

Great showing at Surf City yesterday–great weather, too. Remember how toasty it was last year?

    Happy Monday!

I am taking a break day today- i ran and did stairs yesterday- then at the super bowl party we all went skating, SO I AM POOPED!

I got my Pro Compression email this morning and can’t wait to order a pair!

My motivation is maybe at a seven. I’m still a little sore from this weekend’s workouts and I opted to skip my 5:45 spin class this morning. I’m trying to become a morning exerciser, but it’s so hard!

  6. says

I was at a negative motivation this morning, but I made myself do some HIIT and Zuzka Light workouts right when I got out of bed so I couldn’t talk myself outta ‘nothin! :) I never regret it, so might as well do it, yeah?

Monday’s are usually tough, but this one has gone surprisingly well for some unknown reason? Already got in a quick 10.5 miler, and it was a really good run.

I saw your foot picture yesterday and thought maybe you just had a slightly different shaped foot?! Then I realized a few seconds later it was a photo thing…funny!

LOVE the socks and the parks & rec reference :-)

Went for a run yesterday, but am about to get started on some strength training right now, thanks for the motivation!

  9. says

I’m at about a 5. I’m definitely sick/ill today, but thankfully I have a strength workout scheduled that I can take at my own pace. I also don’t have to go outside for it, which means I can rest during the day.

If I had to run today… probably about a 2, to be honest. Hoping I feel better soon so I can kill it in my training!!!

  10. Catie says

Ummmmm….I’m at like a 4 right now. 3:30 in the afternoon and I swam some laps with a friend this morning and now I’m totally thinking I’ll probably skip my run this evening because swimming wears.me.out. I should go for a run, it’s my first week of half marathon training and it’s supposed to snow 6-9 inches tomorrow which means I’ll be stuck on the treadmill. Blah.

I love those socks! hahaha and great Nike quote. I agree. A lot of people listen to their brains and emotions which make us (me included) want to take a lazy day. I learned the best way to get out of that is to be a machine. Don’t think about it, don’t talk yourself out of it, don’t debate it, just get up and do it. It’s like turning your brain off basically. That has worked for me at least.

  12. says

I am about a 6 on the motivational scale. I want to run..but I have homework. I want to run…but shopping. I just need to stop at I want to run. Shouldn’t be so hard, right?

  13. Floey says

I’m gonna say not very. Had a rough past week with family issues so my body is just worn out from not sleeping well.

  14. says

Bwuhhhh mine is at about a 4! Not so good. But I felt productive today which was good….. but no gym. I’m planning on going five days in a row this week though: Wed – Sun! Gonna turn on that motivation high :) Wish me luck!

Loving your blog! I just recently discovered it and enjoy reading it often!
My motivation is about a 4 day.I am overcoming extreme fatigue from years of training for ironmans.

  16. says

Hi! I just found your blog today and I’m enjoying it! This week my motivation is at 10! I jus started running in December and have absolutely fallen in love with it! I’m currently in training odd my first races: a 5k in April, a 10k in June and the Disneyland half marathon at the end of August! I’m up to 4 miles straight so far and tomorrow will be my longest run so far at 5 miles. I’m increasing my long runs by 1 mile each week till I get to 1/2 marathon distance and I do 2 short runs per week as well! Are you doing the Disneyland half this year?
