I don't know about you, but I am having a difficult time getting out of the 150's. I'm hovering right at 151 for the longest time. I know there is a skinny girl inside, I just need to get her out! How's your weight loss doing?

I just wanted to add a few words since I'm going through the same process right now at about the same weight. I've found that by not going just by the numbers really does wonders for your idea of weight loss. On days when I know I'm not bloated, I can tell the difference from where I was a few months ago. Inches, photos, the fit of your pants/clothes, all of these can be a secondary way to check weight loss.

Thank you for sharing your journey. I've been struggling to get below 160 for longer than I care to remember. I am very good at maintaining the 15 lbs I lost, not so much at losing the rest. 160 is not my final goal but I have been as close as a pound away from it over the last year and would be overly happy to see a 159 on the scale. I'm working on the intuituve eating myself.

You look wonderful! I got the Intuitive Eating book because of your web and I am enjoying the freedom of eating. However, I have 65 pounds that I need to lose. To this point I have not seen great results. It is about health and I am for sure excited about that. My question is, how did you stop eating when you were full? How did you control your eating when you were not hungry? Did you drink tea or anything? I am a stay at home mom so I do not have a ton to distract me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much!!!

I recently lost over 60lbs and went from size 42 waist to a 34. Exercise was a huge factor, but I would have to say what we eat and when is a more crucial factor. I try to eat 5-6 smaller protein-rich meals with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, I eat my biggest meal of the day in the morning and taper off with subsequent ones throughout the day. This helps get the metabolism going and keeps the appetite under control. Obese people often eat less than I do, except they skip breakfast, chug sugary sodas all day, snack on greasy carb-laden junk food and then gorge before dinner and up until bedtime. By doing that, you are essentially telling your body to store fats and metabolize foods at a slower rate.
