Dress the part

Good day from sunny Florida! I woke up and ran 6 miles in the humidity – not easy when you’re not used to it!

DSCN9797I brought soy milk for cereal. These are the individual juice box style ones – get for travel!

I mixed Honey Bunches of Oats with Peaches mixed with flax.DSCN9800

DSCN9802Later I had some grapes. Probably 5x what is here. What can I say? I like ’em.

DSCN9806Ben and I played tennis in the afternoon. I like to dress the part when I do something so I wore a running tennis shirt and a workout polo. Do I have you fooled? Because I suck.

DSCN9811After that it was lunch time and I was actually hungry for lunch today. Up until today my eating schedule has been really “off” and I am still eating on California time. I had a veggie burger on a sandwich thin (I can’t get these in CA!) and pita chips with hummus.

Can you see the beach in the background?

After some time on the beach we came back in for a snack. I had grapes, watermelon and some nuts.DSCN9816 No picture, because it was random snacking.

DSCN9821Ben’s fam was doing chicken for dinner so I made a big salad as a base and piled up the side dishes on top. I was so good! It included mac salad, potato salad, coleslaw, beans and rice and a piece of baguette on the side with spinach artichoke dip.

I’m having a great time! I wish the ocean water in California was this warm!!!!

DSCN9795Oh, and last night I had my Cracker Barrel (also not in CA) lunch leftovers for dinner. And 3 cookies for dessert 🙂

The rest of my plans for tonight include hanging out with the fam, scrabble and ice cream!!! I spotted a Cold Stone nearby during our trip to the store, I wish there was a Yogurtland though…

Question: Do you exercise while on vacation? If so, what do you do?

    Florida looks great!!

I always exercise on vacation as well. We are currently on vacation & I have only taken off 1 day in the last 7. I typically run, but have a foot injury, so got a guest pass to the local Gold’s Gym for a week. We are also doing a lot of walking, much more than usual.

    Have fun!! 🙂

Glad you are having a great time!! I love Florida!

I like to exercise on vacation. If I am at a hotel, I hit the treadmill or something else at the gym. I’d rather go outside but if I am not familiar with the area, I stick with the gym. Or I walk! A lot! 🙂

    Nice photos!! Keep having fun!

I ALWAYS exercise on vacation. Even if it’s a cheesy 20 minutes on the hotel elliptical…. I just find time when I can! 🙂
