FlapJacked Protein Pancake Mix Giveaway

Hello and Happy Monday!

I normally think of pancakes as a weekend food (hello I used to live for Pancake Sunday) but the owner of Flap Jacked recently contacted me about their Protein Pancake Mix. It is a “just add water” protein pancake mix – love it!

FlapJacked Protein Pancake Mix

She let me choose the flavor I wanted to try and I picked the Banana Hazelnut.

  • 200 calories/serving (4 pancakes!)
  • 15-17 grams protein
  • 4-7 grams fiber
  • The first ingredient is whole oat flour.

You guys know I am a big fan of protein pancakes and have several recipes on RER for them. But, if you don’t have the ingredients to experiment making protein pancakes this is a great way to try test the p’cake waters.

The pancakes were delicious and easy to make. But I do have to warn those protein pancake virgins out there – the texture of protein pancakes isn’t as fluffy as ‘normal’ ones.

And because we’re talking Banana Pancakes I have to throw in some Music Monday love here:

FlapJacked has 3 flavors – Banana Hazelnut, Buttermilk and Cinnamon Apple

Check out their Facebook Page for Updates

Tweet them if you love ‘em

and their website has the nutrition info & Recipes for the mixes

And the company is giving one RER reader a bag of the flavor of their choice and a mini-bag of the other 2 flavors!

To Enter: Leave a comment with the protein pancake flavor you’d want to try first.

Open to residents of the US. Closes 5/14 at 8pm PST. I was provided with the mix and compensation in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.

Banana Hazelnut because, that to me, sounds like the promise of a banana spread with nutella…and I’m obsessed with any kind of spreadable nut product :)

  2. says

I would love to try the banana hazelnut flavor. I love that they have quinoa in them! (Plus, my hubby is trying to eat more protein… so I could convince him to have pancakes for dinner if we did these!)

  3. Jennifer Pixler says

My favorite chocolate is Godiva Hazelnut Praline Oyster Shell… but since I have given up the Godiva as I try to eat healthier I think I would like to try the Banana Hazelnut pancake mix… I am so happy there is so much protein in it!

  4. Abigail Langham says

Cinnamon Apple first but then, the offer is perfect, because with a mini bag of the other two flavours you could make one of each and sample all three at the same time (Cinnamon Apple first in line for devouring!).

  5. says

Cinnamon Apple would be the first one I would want to try! I love making apple cinnamon pancakes and this would make it much easier!

  6. says

It’s a yummy mouth watering treat for me.. I love eating such things, as I have a very bad eating habits and use to eat as much as I can. I know I’m overweight and gaining more mass, but simply can’t resist an eat a lot of sweets and sugary stuff.

  7. says

Ooooooh, I am all about buttermilk pancakes! And when I say all about them, I mean ALL about them! Just add some organic chocolate chips and I’m in heaven!

  8. says

The Banana Hazelnut sounds delicious! I always sing Jack Johnson’s song whenever I make Banana Pancakes – and it puts me in the bestest of moods :)

  9. says

I’m boring, so I’d probably try the buttermilk flavor. But, if they decided to make some pumpkin flavor mix in the fall (I hope you’re reading, FlapJacked!), I would totally go for that. I’m all about finding creative ways to add protein into my diet; I’ll keep an eye out for the mix at my grocery store.

  10. says

banana hazelnut sounds deeeeelicious! I made a surprise pancake dinner for my mom for mother’s day last night – this would have been the perfect base!

  11. Shannon says

Banana hazelnut! I mean, who’s ever heard of a banana hazelnut pancake; sounds delicious, right!?

  12. Tricia says

While my instinct is to go straight for the buttermilk I think I’d try the Cinnamon Apple first – mix it up a little!

  13. Stephanie says

I’d go for buttermilk, but then I’d probably doctor the mix up with stuff like pumpkin or applesauce!

  14. Teresa says

Hmmmmmmmmmm…apple cinnamon and banana hazelnut are pretty close, but probably the applce cinnamon!

  15. dana says

def buttermilk… gotta try the classic pancake with some good ole maple syrup on it! mmmm im soooo hungry.

  16. says

I really hope these are gluten-free because they sounds insanely delicious. I know whole oats can go either way sometimes, if they’re made in a facility that contains wheat. Banana hazelnut sounds out of this worlddd.

  17. Heidi M says

I love anything apple and cinnamon…that’s what I would buy but I wouldn’t mind trying them for free either!

  18. Nat says

mmmm…buttermilk pancakes will go good with some side eggs with ketchup! Sunday morning breakfast!

  19. Fizz @fizzsbizz says

I would go straight buttermilk! I love to add my own toppings and flavour a so that would do me just fine.

  20. Kay says

I’d try buttermilk first since that’s probably the original safest flavor :)
Great idea! I’m always too hungry when I wake up to make a real good breakfast

  21. kiki marie says

the banana hazelnut of course!! with a schmear of nutella instead of syrup and some additional bananas to top it… OMG!!

  22. vicky says

love everything and anything pancakes. these look delish. i would try the buttermilk first because im an old fashioned kinda girl. topped with berries and whipped cream of course!

  23. Carly Swanson says

I want to try them all…not so sure if a “Witchdoctor” flapjack would be very tasty though!

  24. Katie says

Banana hazelnut because I’ve never had that flavor pancake before – but they all sound delicious!

  25. Julie V. says

Wow, looks delicious and healthy!! I would love to try all of them but if I had to pick I’d say buttermilk. Yum!

Apple cinnamon! But they all sound delish! If I don’t win, I will be checking out their site to order! Love the easy healthy idea.

  31. Jackie K says

I would love to try Cinnamon Apple! It’s a favorite flavor profile for me. Granola bars, oatmeal, and now pancakes?!

  32. says

mmm I’m gonna have to go with the buttermilk first… but the cinnamon apple one sounds pretty darn sweet too so that’d be a close second.

  33. says

I’m old fashioned, so I’ll say buttermilk… Wait!… Banana….Shoot… Butterbanana? Butternana? Wouldn’t THAT be great?!

  34. Abbey Ward says

Maybe I’m boring, but buttermilk! I have been meaning to try protein pancakes, but I don’t want vanilla protein powder flavored pancakes. This sounds awesome!

  35. Chrissy says

Yummy Banana Hazelnut sounds incredible! I love the Natalie Dee serving size suggestion – a pancake mountain. Yep.

  36. Donielle says

The banana hazelnut sounds delicious – but my hubby is allergic to hazelnuts, so I have to default to apple cinnamon.

  37. Kristen DD says

I think Cinnamon and Apple is the ultimate combination and would LOVE to try that flavor!! Yum!

  38. Ivy says

Buttermilk all the way! I love pancakes & these sound great! I can’t cook worth a hoot so please hook me up! :)
