America’s Favorite Vegetable… after fries

Fun· My Life

Hello! How was your weekend? I had a little fun, a little run and a lotta eats.

i am full and round

Luckily all your weekend calories don’t count if you had a rough week! Score!!

too much cheese i like to eat

This morning I stayed true to my little Sunday morning tradition of a walk to get coffee. It was a gorgeous morning!

sunny so cal (600x800)

Ice ice coffee…

sunday morning rituals (600x800)

Then, I headed to my mom’s because I was in charge of my little brother today. By ‘in charge of’ I mean his chauffeur. Luckily he’s cute and fun so I don’t mind it.

driving

While I waited to pick him up I raided my mom’s fridge. I don’t f around with salad. ALL THE TOPPINGS!!!!

salad at my moms (600x800)

I want to thank Jesus for this special treat. Yesterday I  went to the movies to see Gone Girl and I really wanted popcorn, but I also really wanted to pretend I have some self control so I didn’t buy any. And it was sad. Popcorn is my favorite part of the movies!!

And by a stroke of luck my mom bought this delicious caramel corn (somewhere I have no idea and I don’t really care) and I ate it all. And it was happy.

i love you popcorn (600x800)

I had company in Bay Leaf and the Roxican…

*Note – how my sandals are thrown on the floor as I kicked them off and attached the popcorn.

Question: Do you get popcorn at the movies?

Who else saw Gone Girl?! What did you think??

I do 83% of the time. I regret it when I don’t.

Mmm movie popcorn… SO yum.. I only make the “healthy”stuff at home (air-popped, some seasonings and a spray of coconut oil) so the movie popcorn is such a treat!

I’m dying to see it! I have plans to see it with my friend this weekend! I can’t wait. I’ve heard a ton of good things about it!

I saw Gone Girl last night! Overall I though it was definitely entertaining and Ben Affleck wasn’t too bad to look at. The actress who played Amy also did an amazing job of playing someone who was crazy. I read one Buzzfeed article though that nailed the differences between the two on the head… in the book part 1 Amy is more of a “cool girl” and someone who you can actually see Nick falling in love with. In the movie, Amy is pretty much an ice queen the entire time and not very likable at all.

The only popcorn I ever like is the stuff from movie theaters. You have far more self control than I do.

Definitely want to see Gone Girl but I literally haven’t been to the movies in 5 years (kids will do that) so it’ll have to wait. I miss movie popcorn, best memories 😉

I love popcorn at the movies…lately microwaveable popcorn has been my go to snack. I have no self control. Hope to see Gone Girl soon! Was it as good as the book?

I’m not a fan of popcorn, until I’m at the movie theater…and then I love it! Like must have it, need it now, love it!! Can’t wait to see Gone Girl! What’d ya think?

I never order popcorn at the movies, its always cold and seems like a good idea until my hands are covered in grease. I am a fro-yo person. I want to see Gone Girl really badly, maybe this week.

I’ve never need to the movies and not got popcorn. That’s just not right.

I find it outrageous and so ridiculous that they would consider potatoes and corn vegetables. They’re starches–empty starches!

I can’t wait to see Gone Girl!! Was it good!?

I have a love hate relationship with popcorn at the movie theatre. It’s so expensive, but its so much better than making popcorn at home. Unless it is caramel corn, that is the best homemade!
