1 Dec

Hello!! Happy December! I have the POTM winners from the last two weeks of the challenge to announce. Sorry for the delay – since I was out of town for Thanksgiving I fell behind on some blog work. So without further adieu here is the Pile on the Miles 2016 Grand Finale!!!

First I want to give a huge THANK YOU to all the POTM Sponsors.

These companies not only supported Pile on the Miles this year – they are always supporting athletes,  fitness, healthy living, new recipe creation and more. The people I work with at Pro Compression, Nathan, Sabra and Timex are awesome. They were all very quick to say ‘yes’ to a BIG giveaway just because I said it would encourage you to keep going.

You can find more info on Pro Compression here and their Instagram.

You can find more info on Nathan here and this is their Instagram.

You can find more info on Sabra here and this is their Instagram.

You can find more info on Timex here and this is their Instagram.

Please show them some love for sponsoring our challenge! Thank you so much!

thank you

My favorite part of Pile on the Miles are the comments and social media updates. I feel like I’m in a virtual running club.

Some comments raved about great runs and new PRs! Some comments shared a struggle about a running injury or busy schedule that kept a POTM-er from being able to run. All of it was real and I loved it.

Other Running and Eating  Stuff…

Last day to sign up for the Lace Up Running Series – Riverside Half Marathon is today!! Sign up if you’re itching to run a race before 2017!

Apparently Wendy’s has a thing you can buy for $2 and get FREE Frostys all year!!

5 Ways Coffee Can Make You a Better Runner

I listened to this  Ted Radio Hour the other day during a run and really liked it. Ted Radio Hour – The Food We Eat. It was mostly stuff I already know, but it said something about Mark Bittman’s latest  book  Vegan Before 6pm which I want to read now.

Question: Are you still piling on miles now that the challenge is over? What can you do to stay active and on track?

I just saw that I won a prize. I’m super excited. Thank you so much!!! I am still getting in miles on my bike at home and the elliptical at work. Plus running at the gym when I can get there. I just have to make myself do my workouts before the evening sleepies set in.
