After a l-o-n-g day of travels I finally made it to Princeton! We stopped on the way from the airport at Panera. That made me happy 🙂
After a tour of the campus at 11pm and a snack we went to bed around 2am.
Then, I woke up at 6:30am to give myself a running tour of the area. Apparently my Garmin doesn’t understand that this California girl was on the east coast and couldn’t find a satellite location. It was searching for 15 minutes and I finally just turned it off and ran. So, I have no idea how far or long I was running.
I do have to say that the houses around Princeton are beautiful!
I came back to a cottage cheese double, naner and cereal. I love this combo for breakfast 🙂
We had some time before the graduation to check out the campus (in daylight).
I wanted to take pictures of all the buildings. I love the old gothic style architecture.
Every building was so interesting! This is far from the strip malls of SoCal that all look the same!
Founded in 1746, Princeton University is older than the United States of America!
This time of year it’s very green too!
The graduation ceremony was actually pretty short (relative to other graduations I’ve attended). But, I was super tired from lack of sleep!
This is Jon, the graduate, with the parents. Congrats Jon! Ben actually graduated from Princeton too and he’d been there since Friday for Reunions stuff. I think everyone was kind of sad that the family is done with Princeton for now…
There was a reception with food after the ceremony
We packed up Jon’s stuff and got on the road for the rest of our trip!
There were snacks of course….
And Applebees…
know that I steal Ben’s fries every time 🙂
I got broccoli cheddar soup and a salad. They were okay.
Rose was craving a cookie today and asked if people give in to their cravings.
If you read my blog you know my answer is “Yes, all the time.” This is especially true now that I’m in the Exploration phase of Intuitive Eating. I ate a Panera chocolate chip cookie last night 🙂
And by the miracle of technology I am blogging while driving through Delaware! Nice.
See you all when we get to our next destination. My announcement post if coming up!!!

This is ironic because I feel like New Jersey is the land of the strip mall and in my mind California is beautiful everywhere!

I feel like I have to comment once and a while so that I feel less like a peeping tom/stalker. I read your blog everyday. I am excited to hear your news!
I love running when I travel, such a fun way to see a new town.
Best of luck with everything.
When I feel super overwhelmed about how fast life is i tell myself, “this is how it is to be alive” you seem super alive right now.

Panera Bread is awesome!
However, Princeton is even more awesome! My older sister actually applied to most of the Ivy Leagues with Princeton being her top choice and was accepted at all, but Princeton! She is now an East Asian studies major at Dartmouth.
Anyway, just seeing photos of my dream school got me excited. =)

Princeton is beautiful. I’d love to go there.
I like Panera quite a bit. But I’m not a huge fan of their cookies. Certainly better than no cookie, but it’s not one of their better products. One location near me makes a terrific hot chocolate, but other locations aren’t as good. Generally I like their sandwiches and bagels.
