Walking and reading

I’ve been bringing reading material along for my walk home from work. Today I was reading Intuitive Eating, I know I’m super predictable. Anyways, reading the book slowly- as I actually go through the process, is very helpful. Part of what I read today talked about self talk and that this is a process. When you mess up – and you will. – don’t talk to yourself negatively. This is very hard for me, but it’s good to be reminded. DSCN1161

After lunch I was hungry about 2 hours later (maybe the RD was right about me needing to eat more calories with breakfast and lunch). I had my trail mix and a kiwi.

Then, I had half a piece of raisin bread with AB (had one half piece left from another snack attack).DSCN1156

I made Peanut Sauce Noodles for dinner. Last time I made it Ben was in CA and didn’t get to try it. He loved it! I think I’m getting lucky tonight 😉

I had a couple random handfuls of watermelon and trail mix while putting tomorrow’s lunches together. This is a bad habit.

And I wanted dessert so I had some ice cream. DSCN1160

I was super full, but still ate ice cream – which is bad. But, I am doing good! I came home and didn’t eat anything until I was preparing dinner 🙂 That is good for me. I’m trying to keep the self-talk positive!

Is it tragic that Trader Joe’s in MD don’t sell alcohol and I’m super upset over it? This is not cool. I’m planning a trip to a TJ’s in DC this weekend so I don’t have to worry about running out of wine. Maybe I’m not just addicted to running…

I’m terrible at snacking while I’m making dinner. I must try to avoid this at all costs because it ends up spoiling my dinner!

If I tried to walk and read at the same time, I’d probably fall in pothole. Be careful out there!

I chew a piece of gum while I’m cooking to prevent myself from eating. It works!
