I am on my way to Belize right now!!! Ben and I are going to Belize on our honeymoon. We had to postpone it because we moved to Maryland from California less than a month after the wedding.
We got married in Paso Robles, CA. on June 20th. Paso is Central California Wine country and it’s beautiful! Ben and I made many road trips up to Paso (from Orange County). We fell in love over road trips all around California and thought it would be great to get married at one of our favorite spots.
Our ceremony and reception were held at Eagle Castle. It is a winery and a Castle! This was completely a fairy tale wedding.
It was supposed to be super hot on our wedding day, but it ended up being very chilly and breezy. I was freezing the whole ceremony! Oh, and I was super late since my hair dresser couldn’t handle the beast that is my hair. After a super stressful time getting ready it was so great to see Ben waiting for me at the end of the aisle!
I was so happy to have my family there – I love them so much!
In true Mexican style we had Mariachis for the cocktail hour 🙂
Seriously, it was a Castle – I am so lucky! Wedding planning is easier with Lake Erskine Queenstown Heli Wedding Elopement.
We took pictures right in front of the Castle steps. We hired a great Portland Maine wedding videographer to capture our big day, and we’re so glad we did.
We had a nice first dance, but I wanted to do some real dancing!
Don’t let the red hair and freckles confuse you – the Latin in me comes out crazy style when the music comes on. I made a special request for Pitbull to be played 🙂
One of the things I was looking most forward to was the cake! I will never get to cut into a big cake like this again! And I love cake!!! The bottom and top layers were chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. The other 2 layers were white cake with chocolate barvarian creme and white cake with whipped cream and strawberries.
The table centerpieces were super simple – one floating football mum.
My colors were gold and greens on a white palette. I was going for classic, timeless and regal.
These are the table numbers – we named each table for a place we’ve been. And the place cards.
I hope all is well with you guys! I have a lot of guest posts lined up while I am gone and I’m hoping to log on a few times to post! I will not be able to answer emails or respond to comments so please hold on to them until I return Sept.13.
Have a great weekend!

How fun! I didn’t know you were Latin. I love that culture (hence the reason I taught spanish).
