Ben and I started the day with a leisurely breakfast. For some reason lately when it comes to meal time I cannot decide what I want to eat. I need to make a list of meal ideas so I don’t stand in the kitchen snacking while I try to figure it out.
After church we took a long walk. I guess Ben was in a good mood today because he didn’t get mad that the walk was so long. I think he got distracted by nature
I didn’t take pics of lunch or snacks because I was busy cleaning today. But I did stop to take a pic of the Kombucha that I scored on super sale this week. Wasn’t I just complaining about how expensive they are? The Kombucha fairy was watching me.
Does anyone else think that the back of some people’s knees look like sting ray faces? (source)
My Easter Feaster – I made a fancy Easter Dinner for Ben and myself – TJ’s Dijon salmon, Pasta Roni (okay not fancy, but I actually wasn’t in the mood to cook in the first place), salad and toast.
We also had wine because I need to relax. And Ben says “Peace”.
It was a gorgeous day out! Ben and I were in such a good mood because of the amazing weather…
But, Ben says living in Maryland is like being in an bad relationship. Right now MD is trying to pretend that winter never happened and it’s not going to rain again or get cold. Which leads up to…
Ben’s Random Comment of the Day:
“Living in Maryland is like being married to a supermodel. It will be really great and you’ll feel so happy (like today). But then one day you’ll come home and she’ll be sitting in the dark drinking waiting to cut you (the winter).”
In other news I made a chocolate microwave cake for dessert. It’s not great, so I don’t want to share the recipe yet, but the icing was good! If you just want icing mix up agave/maple syrup and cocoa powder, just saying…
And the winner of the most random post award goes to me today 🙂
See you tomorrow.
Lorin says
Oh man, I’ll be making that microwave cake once the recipe is out, it looks good!

YOU ARE SO RIGHT about the weather! I am loving DC so much right now and never want to leave! It almost makes me forget that whole snow thing… if I could ever forgot that monstrocity…

lol! never thought about the back of a knee looking like the underside of a stingray, but you can bet i will be looking at that more closely now! 🙂

I love your knee/stingray face comparison! Right on!

Bahaha- there were like 10 amazing quotes in that post.
I do the same thing- stand in the kitchen for forever trying to decide what to eat. I have this thing about meals being EXACTLY what I want at the moment (same goes for picking a restaurant). It’s ridiculous and drives Brian crazy.

Haha so true. Philly is the same way though, it’s going to be in the 80s this week and rainy and 50 this weekend
Erin (Travel, Eat, Repeat) says
That is SO true about Maryland! One day it’s pissing down rain and dark, the next is glorious and sunshine-y.

That is one hilarious, yet true, comment about MD. LOL!

Haha! Love Ben’s quote. That’s how I feel about upstate NY.
