Roxy is back from her makeover!

Before:IMG_5229 (800x600)

“Don’t ever change!”IMG_5230 (800x600)

After:IMG_5249 (800x600)

“I feel so naked!”IMG_5251 (600x800)

IMG_5252 (800x600)

But, I don’t get why they leave that shaggy tail on dogs for a “summer cut”?! How is a hairy butt “summer-y”?

IMG_5254 (800x600)

Today was gorgeous so I watched my little brother Matt swim while I blogged. You know how in some places it’s too hot, humid and full of bugs to just chill outside? Because I don’t Winking smileIMG_5264 (800x600)

Matt wanted me to make smoothies after his swim. And by smoothies we mean, homemade McFlurries SmileIMG_5270 (600x800)

Random thought I’ve been having… I don’t think I look like my personality.

I think I look like a nice lady-like girl (today at least)…IMG_5284 (600x800)

But I really feel like a random cussing-like-a-sailor-raunchy-humor-nose-picking-thick-accent-Mexican girl. IMG_5282 (600x800)

Who takes pictures of herself whilst driving. (And doesn’t really use the word “whilst” in real life.)IMG_5290 (600x800)

Look closer do you see it?IMG_5292 (600x800)

Yeah, right up my nose – IMG_5296 (600x800)you can see I’m obviously more Zach Galifinakis than anything else. And I’m okay with that. I just don’t want to give people the wrong message.zach-galifianakis-hangover(source)

Anyways, that photo shoot was taken on the way to the rehearsal dinner for Ben’s friends’ wedding. We went to Sam Woo Restaurant in Irvine, CA.sam woo restaurant

The wed-ees planned a 9 course meal for us!IMG_5313 (800x600)

I arrived late so 3 courses were waiting for me when I arrived.IMG_5306 (800x600)

The fried rice course was my favorite SmileIMG_5311 (800x600)

Dessert was fruit and red bean soup. It’s a warm, sweet soup with red beans – crazy right?! I loved it and will try to recreate at home asap.IMG_5315 (800x600)

Ben’s friends are fun (and all super geniuses). Yes, even Phil.IMG_5316 (800x600)

I have a long run planned for the morning, then the wedding!IMG_5320 (800x600)

Was that the most random post or what?

Your “random” posts are seriously some of the funniest (as in comical, not as in weird, although sometimes they can be weird too. In a good way!) things I read on any blogs, ever.

That red bean soup is my favorite part of Chinese banquets! Looks like a great night.
I love Zach Galifianakis, he makes me proud to be from NC.

Yeah the fluffy tail thing makes no sense to me.

I like when they leave the legs and tail fluffy when I get one of my cats a makeover. It looks like he is wearing leg warmers!
Is that a lettuce cup I spy with my little eye? Yum!

Haha that tail is ridiculous. What’s the point of leaving that hair at the end?

Roxy now makes me think of the dog in Alice in Wonderland that has the broom for a tail!

A lot of dogs use their tail as a sensor, it’d throw the pup off to chop that hair off! Cute summer cut, though 😀

Hahaha love the photo shoot. I never understood why they left bits of dog hair in random spots on my dog either… “Please shave my cockapoo’s entire curly coat of hair because we are going to North Carolina next week and burrs get stuck in his paws”… they then proceed to shave everything except his paws because it’s “cuter that way”

Roxy looks very pretty post-haircut. The “lion’s tail” with the pup summer cut cracks me up. When Grady gets groomed, I ask them to leave just a little bit of fuzz on the end of his tail – the point is to get RID of all that fur!!

Hey Monica! Not sure if you get emails from eversave.com (kindof like Groupon), but there’s a deal for Vitatops today!! Thought of you when I saw it. Have a great weekend 🙂

I’m glad you enjoyed the red bean soup! Whenever we go out to eat at Asian restaurants (I’m half Asian so we did this a lot as I was growing up) – they’d serve that as the dessert and I always disliked it! I always hoped they’d bring us mango pudding, which was rare.
The older I get, the more I like red bean though…hah.
      Have fun at the wedding!
