Hello! I made a delicious green smoothie with pineapple this morning. I wish I made a double batch! But first… let’s talk running.
Today is HOT for February. 86 degrees. I love CA. Fo life.
But, it was almost 70 when I was running and felt the sun pounding down on me. So, I shifted my visor to the east where the sun was coming from. When I got home I realized… I look like a tragedy. Ha! Oh well.
Before my run I ate the last banana with almond butter…
I wanted another green smoothie to go with breakfast but usually a ripe banana is what I use to sweeten it up! This time I used some canned pineapple packed in juice. It was amazing!
In the green smoothie: Ice, Almond Milk, 2/3 cup pineapple, big handful spinach, splash of OJ to get right consistency. I used this small blender for green smoothies.
Also, since B-diddy (Ben) is around this week I made him and epic breakfast = leftover pizza topped with eggs! It’s basically breakfast pizza if it has eggs on top right?
And in an effort to be the best I FAILED at cookies last night. I looked up a sugar cookie recipe and everything was going great until I drowned them in cinnamon. Even with frosting slathered on top they were not good.
Me.
Now I’m going to…
stay the heck inside and catch up on work. Womp womp womp.
Question: On a scale from 1 to 10
1 = Me.
10 = The world’s best baker.
How good of a baker are you?
Balrog says
The gif file is so funny I couldn’t stop laughing especially the baking one.
Tedi @ Running with Infertility says
I bake, but I follow recipes, I don’t necessarily create my own…
Was the pizza/egg combo any good?
Erika says
That pizza/egg combo looks delicious!
Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties says
hahaha so sad abotu the cookies! I think I’m a pretty good baker but that’s only because I follow recipes. I feel like you make a lot of recipes up so that actually makes you WAY better than someone like me that just follows directions 🙂
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
I love pineapple in smoothies. It was my staple sweetener for months and months when the weather was warm, but once it gets cold I usually switch to berries.
I love baking and as long as I have a recipe I am gold. When it comes to making actual food however, I let my husband take the reins.

good heavens, i could use some sunshine!

I’ve been baking a lot more lately, so I’m definitely improving. I’d say somewhere around a 6-7. Although sometimes the lid comes off of a spice at just the wrong moment. I like to call that “jazzing up the recipe”.
Deb says
Since I only have one cookie recipe that turns out, I’m giving myself a 1. If I don’t follow it EXACTLY, it’s a #fail. So, good thing I can read. LOL!
I actually have a very funny story from a few years ago when I wanted to make all different kinds of cookies for Christmas. It was a true disaster. Now that I’m remembering this, I might have to give myself a -1. Boo!!
Jojo @ Run Fast Eat Lots says
How can sugar cookies + cinnamon not be good?? I am baffled.
Sue says
hmmm…how much cinnamon did you use?
Stacy @ Sweating Tulipz says
I’m pretty much a 2 on the baking scale…because it takes at least 2 tries for something to be edible…I always burn or mess up the first batch no matter what!
Alisha @ Real Girl Running says
I’m like a 4 on the baking scale. I try. Sometimes I win, but mostly I lose.
I can’t do really citrusy fruits in smoothies – at least milk based smoothies. I tend to stick to berries and bananas and things like that. It’s something about the thought of juice and milk curdling in my stomach.
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
I’d say I’m about a 6, a 7 if I’m actually patient and follow a recipe…
Tricia @ A Couple of Dashes says
I’m going to go with a 6. I’m pretty decent when it comes to easy stuff, but it can’t be anything to crazy. I don’t really like to measure things exactly, so that’s usually my downfall! Your smoothie sounds delicious and that breakfast looked amazing!
Heather @ Run Eat Play says
I’m actually a pretty decent baker. I even measure all the ingredients out to the gram because it makes the finished product so much better.
But that’s why I like cooking more – you can just throw in whatever, you don’t have to be as precise with cooking!
Shannon in Tustin says
I’m probably an 8. Not sure how cinnamon could ruin sugar cookies, but I’ll take your word for it. I cannot buy the TJ’s almond butter–it’s a good without brakes for me!
I buy Kirkland so I can enjoy in moderation.
Livi @ Eat, Pray, Work It Out says
eggs on leftover pizza sounds heavenly!!
Linda @ TheFitty says
You’re not the only horrible baker! I nearly burned down the house once when I forgot to turn the oven off…
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
I Am a 7 or so. But I have been making the same brownie recipe for so long and it calls for “one box” of Bakers chocolate. This past christmas I made them and they didn’t taste chocolatey enough. Well apparently Bakers decided to change their packaging and reduce the amount of ounces of chocolate in that box. So now I know to specify the exact amount next time.
Amy @ Mama Running for God says
I am like a 2 on the baking scale. I don’t enjoy cooking or baking lol
I let my daughter do it, she loves it
That green smoothie looks delicious!
Flower says
Negative 100 for the win!
Jasmin @ the exercise shoe blog says
I’m not much of a baker, I prefer cooking but I give myself a 5 for just following recipes.
Nice job with the smoothie. I use canned pineapple a lot too. I’ve used fresh but it’s too much work.
