I have my 2nd visit with the RD today. I definitely have a lot to talk about since it was really hard to work on her suggestions.
My run was brutal today, and not because I tried to do anything hard. I just went out for an easy 5 mile maintenance run and I was super slow the whole time. At one point I was about a minute and a half slower per mile than I normally am. No explanation for it though…I hate that.
Because I ate so much before I went to sleep last night (2 waffles w/BB!) I woke up hungry today. Isn’t that weird? My theory is because my body keeps working all night to digest food & it’s ready to keep going when I wake up. I had a small cup of cereal before my run. I was still hungry too, but stopped there.
Breakfast: I added fruit to this breakfast to increase the calories. I really love fruit, but think I should add something more along the lines of protein in my oats. I’m thinking yogurt on the side or protein powder in the oats…
Now I have to get to work since my appt. is this afternoon! I will report back with our findings 🙂

I feel like I wake up hungry EVERY day, even if I pigged out the night before. What is up with that?

i’ve always wondered about eating up hungry after late night eating. your theory makes a lot of sense!

It’s weird how we wake up hungry sometimes. I don’t think it has much of a connection to anything. If I really overdo it the night before, I often won’t be hungry in the morning. But generally my hunger is not connected to how late or early I stopped eating the night before.

i always add protein powder (vanilla) to my oats now, i think it really makes a difference. or else i think it does which works just as well, heh.
