Today I was wearing my reporter hat covering a conference in D.C. It was fun! I wasn’t sure what my options were for lunch nearby so I packed lunch. (This was kinda akward because I had to carry it with me all day.) But I did buy a drink, or two 🙂 I am like a camel and I need to store liquids in my humps or something, but I drink massive amounts of water, seltzer, iced tea, diet soda… Today I got a diet Snapple at the hotel where the conference was being held. I got a Venti Iced Tea from Starbucks for lunch. Then, I got a diet Coke after lunch (no pic).
Despite all these beverages I ran out of water on my way home and was soooo thirsty!
I ate lunch at Starbucks while trying to get internet that never worked…huge salad and PB&J. For some reason this bread that I bought isn’t very “bulky” and doesn’t keep me full at all.
I ended up eating my cherries on the way home because I found treat 🙂
… I heard they had cookies at the conference! Yes! Everyone was all a buzz about it. These suckers were HUGE and delicious. I just broke off a little piece and saved the rest of after dinner 🙂
After the conference I met up with family who flew into town around 5:30pm – perfect timing! I made dinner for everyone – Mom, Dad, Matt and Ben.
I had ww spaghetti with veggie meatballs and broccoli. I also had a few handfuls of cereal while cooking – I was hungry!
Now I am hanging out with the fam and getting ready for tomorrow. I am feeling so good about my early bed time! I feel 1,000x better when I get enough sleep.
Question: How much sleep do you get??? Is it enough?
Me: My goal is always 8 hours, but it’s more likely to be 7 🙂

I usually get around 8, 7 on work days. Last night I got home late from a flight and it was a workday today so I got 6, and suprisingly I woke right up and ran great. Don’t know if I could do it 7 days a week but once and a while I guess a little sleep deprivation ain’t shabby

Aw, fun dinner with the fam!
I haven’t been getting enough sleep at all this week – maybe like 6 hours a night. Very bad!

I normally get around 7 but I would love 8. Occassionally I get 8 and always feel better. But I can’t fall asleep easy and my wake up time doesn’t change.

How nice to have the fam here visiting! Have fun!
Marathon training has thrown me for a loop with bedtime. I used to go to bed around 11PM most nights…or between 11-12. These days, I’m asleep between 9-10 so that I can get up at the butt crack of dawn and run.
Last night at 8PM, I fell asleep sitting in a chair at my kitchen table. It was incredibly uncomfortable, but I was exhausted. This marathon training is killing me man!

I’m always trying to get 8 hours, but mostly end up getting 6-7.
I just recently read an article that said 8 are ideal not just to feel fit etc, but it’s also the amount of time you skin needs to recover (so, less wrinkles ;-)) – more incentive for me to try!

Sleep is so important ! I would love to get 8 hours a night, but because I work gravyards it’s usually only 6 or 7 during the workweek and then I “make up” for it and sleep 9 or more on weekends. I know that’s not ideal, and when I win the lottery and quit my job, I’ll sleep 8 every night.
