Won’t Power Instead of Will Power

Dessert· Dinner

I think it’s weird that we call it “willpower” when it’s usually “won’t power” we are aiming for. It took all my “won’t power” today to keep myself from NOT buying a DD coffee! I had to tell myself I won’t buy one today. It takes a lot of “won’t power” to avoid the office candy dish too.

I think I am going to try and get the term “won’t power” to be the new thing 🙂

When I got home I did very well with the no kitchen snacking and plated my snacks! I am impressed with myself 🙂 I had toast with spreadable feta and a carrot. Plus some crackers and cheese. IMG_2087IMG_2086

Then I took a short walk to chat with one of my peeps. I miss walking home already, but the drizzly weather the last few days made me very grateful for my car!

Dinner was my first attempt ever at quinoa!!! I made up the recipe as I went a long. I cooked up the quinoa in vegetable broth. Then, I made a sauce with olive oil, lemon juice, balsamic, maple syrup and spices. It was too balsamic-y for my taste, but Ben said it was good 🙂IMG_2089IMG_2091

Plus a piece of ww bread 🙂IMG_2092

Dessert has been on my mind all day so I went with it…Vitatop and my new favorite tea. I am obsessed. IMG_2094And the winner of the 1001st post give away is…(drum roll please)…according to the Random Number Generator

Good job on resisting the office food. P.S. I’m giving away two breast cancer awareness prize packs on my blog: http://lovinlosing.com/.

I can’t figure out what to do with quinoa either. I think it’s the weird texture or something!

Oh and I really like the new “won’t power” word 🙂 you’re absolutely right that a lot of times it’s harder to not be doing some thing; than to be doing something else

I think its a great idea to start yoga. I’m hoping to splurge on a studio membership as an x-mas gift to myself 🙂 I’m not suggesting you try too many new things at once (especially with marathon training!!!), but what about strength training? It can really change your body, and since you typically don’t too much, maybe it could help break through your plateau. Just an idea! I still think you are amazing for your running routine!

Why is Dunkin Donuts coffee so good? I went through a DD iced coffee phase. I loved going there b/c I could get a 32 ounce cup, and it was much cheaper than Starbucks. Good thing the nearest DD is 25 miles away.

Dinner looked and sounded delicious even if it was a little too balsamic-y for you. Looks like things are going well. Must be all that “won’t power” 😉

Enjoy your tea and Vitatop. I can’t believe it’s already time for the holiday teas again. I love fall.

Maple syrup in a sauce? That’s my kind of dish 🙂
How are the banana fudge V-tops? That’s one I haven’t got to try yet
