I had to wake up super early because I’m going into D.C. today. I’m covering an event at the National Press Club – doesn’t that sound fancy?!
I didn’t really make time for exercise this morning (and was feeling kinda sleepy and lazy too). But I am planning on a yoga class tonight 🙂
I really wanted a filling breakfast since I don’t know when I will have time for lunch – the agenda doesn’t show any breaks until 1:45pm!! I am packing a snack for sure. I just went with cereal since it kept me so full yesterday.
Wish me luck that I don’t get lost! *Note I am wearing make-up today – I need to do this more often!
See ya later 🙂

Great race. Good crowd, beautiful scenery, neat course for spectators. Two possible improvements: 1) water stations were not actually at the mile markers. This threw off my refueling (GU), often having to dig out a GU and slam it as I came up on an early station. 2) No station from mile 6 to 9 was tough. Overall, a well-organized race. I had a great run, running the first time ever with my brother. Thanks.

Monica!! You are BEAUTIFUL (with or without makeup!). I just wanted to tell you that your blog is one of my favorites (!!) but it upsets me to see how hard you have been on yourself recently. You look GREAT. SERIOUSLY. You have a strong body that can carry you through long runs and you eat whole clean foods. I know you think you have 15 lbs to lose, but I just don’t see it. You are PERFECT as you are, right now!! 😉

You look so pretty! I love the eye make-up. I’m jealous of anyone who can apply eye make-up, I’m so bad at it.
