Today I felt like Fozzie bear because I took a long “walk-a” 🙂
I actually love walking. It’s my second favorite form of exercise (after running of course!). I can walk for hours and just think about life, chat on the phone and observe the world around me. I have a lot on my mind right now and really enjoyed just playing my head movies this morning and pondering life.
I actually wrote out my New Year’s Resolutions last night and thought about my goals for 2010 too. My head is all over the place right now.
I also love that I can slow down and take pictures on my walks.
Today I saw my shadow:
Some pretty red bushes with super bright leaves:
And a downed “No Parking” sign. I guess someone really wanted to park there… Before I walked, I ate breakfast. I’m happy to eat at a “normal” (for me) breakfast time – now I’m back on schedule! I made cinnamon raisin toast with almond butter and pumpkin butter. I am going through that jar of chunky almond butter way.too.fast!!
I love this green rectangular plate – perfect for open faced sandwiches! My stomach is already growling again! I’m gonna grab some fruit and get to work 🙂
Happy Thursday!

Walking has to be my favorite form of exercise. I walk when I’m happy, I walk when I’m sad, I walk when I’m feeling strong, and I walk even when I’m feeling tired. I love walking! I envy how you can go walking in your neighborhood. So many pretty things to see. Here, it’s all smog and garbage. Not too inspiring….

Fozzie! He always gets tomatoes thrown at him! Hope that didn’t happen to you! I love walks too 🙂 More fun when it’s with someone else but great all the time!

Haha, I thought that toast was brownies and wondered how that was “normal”. Gotcha

Lauren @ Eater not a runner says
It’s so funny, because I never just go on a walk. I probably should though, sounds relaxing!

Walks are so much fun. I found myself walking on the treadmill last night instead of running, and it felt great. It gives me a chance to decompress and think about things. I love the toast-it looks amazing! Sometimes the simplest things are the best 🙂
Deva (Voracious Vorilee) says
I love going for a leisurely walk – there are so many things that I miss while I am running – I tend to zone out until I am focusing on speed or distance 🙂
Rose says
Yum. I want that toast.

No I know, I do LOVE to walk. But I’d never thought about it as an exercise before, more of a fun activity. I think I’ll try to bring my camera and speedwalk, so it’s fun and exercise! 🙂

This post made me smile! I just got back from physical therapy and I can’t run for another week. I’m pissed off, but you made walking sound pretty exciting! 🙂
