My Cat is Missing

Hello! Happy Friday.

Last night the girls came over so I put out a little spread. Chips and guac to start because I cannot get enough right now.

It was great to have company. I always joke about not having friends, but my peeps have really rallied around me this week and I am so thankful.

best friends

Also, they helped me look for my cat. Vegas went missing yesterday and I called the police, but apparently you can’t file a missing cat report unless they’re been gone 24 hours.

I texted him, but of course I forgot cats don’t have cell phones.

And just when I thought all hope was lost and I was planning his memorial service…

I found his dirty little pata in the closet.

Run

This morning I woke up before the sun to meet Sheila for a run at 5:30am. I even wore my headlamp. I actually got it for Christmas and it’s come in handy more than I would have thought! I wish I would have packed it for Hood to Coast – need to remember that for the next relay.

Sheila aka Striding Mom and I had a really great run. She took me on a whole new route that was super hilly so we walked a bit. But, I had a lot of fun catching up with her.

When I got back I had a banana with almond butter while I stretched – I was super hungry!!

Post-shower breakfast burrito.

This made my life this week and I have to share:  I love it.

And now I’m trying to figure out if I want to tackle that mountain of email I have waiting for me OR open up kayak and book a trip to Nepal…

Question: What are you doing this weekend?

Ha! I literally just watched that video before I was reading this post! My husband sent it to me yesterday too! I am not sure what I’d do if I saw a bear on the golf course. Crazy!

This week is going to be boyfriend & family time, not sure what we’ll do but sure that’s not what it’s about anyway!

      Um, Nepal – for sure!

This weekend I will be doing some running, some house hunting, and some bad tv watching. It’s going to be epic. 😉

If you’re looking for a place to relax, go to the Virgin Islands. No place more beautiful or relaxing than that.

If you’re looking for a laugh, you should check out the ‘apparently’ kid visiting Ellen. Hilarious!

It’s really admirable that you can maintain a sense of humor even in a situation like this. You rock, seriously! What would it be like to room with you and suddenly disappear under the covers for 12 hours after pulling an all nighter, would you call the police on me too? Haha 😛

Hahaha, I don’t have any pets right now, so I don’t get to experience that hilariousness.

This weekend, I’m teaching a few group fitness classes and enjoying an outdoor beer festival in Golden Gate Park (did you get to visit that park when you were in San Francisco??), followed up by a nice dinner out with my husband. Should be a good one!

SO glad that little furball Vegas showed up! Cats are tricky little pain-in-the-asses.

I have looked for a cat frantically just to find it in a closet (or basement) more times than I would care to admit.

This weekend I am running up a mountain! Heading to Mt. Tamalpais in the Marin Headlands tomorrow for my long run 🙂

What headlamp do you use? I’ve been thinking about getting one now that’s it’s staying dark later in the morning.
