Hello!! How are you?
I am sweaty.
But for once you can’t tell because I’m wearing a sweat wicking dress. This is genius! And this is not a sponsored post I just want to share this with my sweaty sisters out there.
I bought this Marika Dry Wik dress online a few weeks ago (before I did my Capsule Wardrobe). It’s not cheating even though part of the ‘capsule wardrobe rules’ is to not buy anything until I’m getting ready for next season – because I bought this long before. Plus I stained that one shirt I had to get rid of and haven’t replaced yet.
Anyway.
I just remember the description saying something about the dress having dry wick moisture technology and I knew it was made for a sweaty betty like me so I thought I’d try it out. It comes in navy and black pattern.
I bought this dress and didn’t really think anything of it besides, “Hopefully I won’t sweat through this in public and look like a tragedy…”
And of course I packed it for Florida because um… it’s Florida in July. #unpleasant
But when I wore it yesterday I was pleasantly surprised that it’s kinda cute and super comfy. I think there are a lot of us that joke we can live in yoga pants or workout clothes. Well, this is kinda like that.
I don’t know how I found this dress, but after being to happy with it I did some research and found other similar dresses that are multi-purpose like this. They are by Marika for The Balance Collection and you can check ‘em out below.

Question: On a scale from 1 to 10 – How sweaty are you today?
1 = not at all
10 = you need a life preserver because you’re drowning

I have been following you for a long time and keep meaning to write a comment. I follow quite a lot of Heath n fitness blogs but yours is the only one I absolutely make sure I read. Anyway I was reading your post on sweat wicking clothes and you being a ‘sweaty betty’ like me and wondered if you had ever tried their clothes… Sweaty Betty have the best run n yoga gear ever.. UK company but have a store in New York now… Recommend you try. Kat

I have tried their leggings and love them, but not for running. They’re just a little thick to run in for the weather in SoCal. But yeah, agree on Sweaty Betty all the way 🙂

I was probably a 4 today. Humidity has dropped quite a bit in MA, but it’ll be up again next week from what I hear.. Love your dress! Your post has made me want to go shopping at Kohls even more, they’ve got some great stuff 🙂

Never had a dress like that! I’ve been at a 2-3 all week! It’s been really calm her in Utah this past week.

I call those workout dresses (and happily hike in them with shorts underneath) and kohls carries a maxi version that might be the most perfect summer thing I’ve ever seen. I almost broke my “don’t buy clothes that are too small for you” rule to buy one, i’m so in love

Not too sweaty today. It’s low humidity again for a change. I even had my hair blown out. Risky! Love the idea of a sweat wicking dress. I am a big sweater. Thanks for the post

Big sunglasses are saving my life – when I’m sweating, when I’m lazy to do make up, when I can’t do make up because I’m sweating hahaha

It’s cold in my office, so not at all! BUT I took a walk yesterday and was pooling. So, there’s that.
