Hello! Happy Friday! How was your week? I’m pretty excited because I had a huge milestone in my life today! I am very excited to share this very special moment with you below…

congrats

But first, can I be dramatic about my arm?

I got a huge gross bruise on my arm from getting blood drawn on Wednesday. It looks a lot worse in person. It’s super puffy and legit BLUE. Gross.

So I had to make myself feel better with pizza. It worked! Like magic.

While out running errands I hit up GNC for some Quest Bars. I bought a few of my favorite flavors (Chocolate Chip and Cookies N Crème) and bought a Coconut one because it was on super sale. I’m about to bake something up with the coco one now!

Okay let’s talk fashion and the HUGE milestone in my life that happened today….

Are you nervous about what it is?

No, I didn’t finally buy my first training bra. Actually I don’t even need one yet. But I’m working on it…

stuffing my bra

Anyway.

I bought my first belt!!! I feel like I shared this fun random fact recently – I don’t own a belt. Is that weird?

Anyway. I bought one today!! I feel like I should celebrate this occasion somehow.

(I got the black one at the top. Similar to this stretchy number.)

The reason I decided to make this very dramatic life change was I also bought a romper! I’ve been wanting to give this style a whirl and tried on a few today.

romper time try (600x800)

Surprisingly – loved it! Mostly because it’s comfy and I don’t have to match a top and bottom, just slip it on and go.

And I got a belt because I saw the mannequin was wearing a romper with a belt.

This romp has a little tie at the waist (but it’s just a novelty one and doesn’t actually make it tighter) so I don’t think I’m going to use it with this one unless I cut the tie. TBD.

Question: How many belts do you own?

About 5 (I think) but i also use long-ish scarves as belts – adds a bit of colour to my outfits.

I own lots of belts but rarely wear them. I love the romper on you!!!! I’ve been trying them on a lot lately but I have an awkwardly long torso and can’t make it work 🙁

Congratulations! Welcome to the world of belt owners. It’s a helluva place to be. I think I own two or three? I don’t wear them too often though!

That romper and belt look great! I own exactly one belt, and I wear it with exactly one dress and one shirt. Perhaps it’s time I expand my fashion horizons 🙂

I own two belts at any given time, and I wear them until they break. My most prized possession is a cowboy belt from when my dad was a kid…its got cacti and horses embossed on it and I wore it until it would no longer buckle over my child-bearing hips.

I have a few that have come with jeans or dresses but I always cut them off or never wear them because of my shape. I like the romper on you, looks cute and comfy!

I have a few belts, but I wear them with jeans.

I apparently am too lazy to wear a romper, because of the whole have to get (almost all the way) undressed to go to the bathroom??

I’m with you. I wear belts with my jeans. And trips t the bathroom in rompers are a deterrent for me. It’s also a problem with one piece running outfits – which are great for running in, but horrible for trips to the portapotty…

That romper is sooooo cute. The last romper I owned was all black and I bought it for VEGAS (not your cat) and it was great until I SHRUNK it and my booty hangs out now. Aint cute no mo.

According to the students on the campus where I work, that’s exactly how you’re supposed to wear shorts – with a little Miley Cyrus booty strip hangin out.

I have one belt but I never wear it. A couple of my dresses have belts, but I also never wear those, so there you go.

Belts for pants are pointless. Waist-accentuating belts are awesome! You are headed in the right direction. Carry on!

Dude, you headlined the belt but not the romper?! And the romper is actually a success despite your initial trepidations. Maybe it’s because the shorts are a little skorts-like? Congrats on a fashion risk taken and crushed!

I love the look of rompers but when I try them on I feel like I look like a hot mess. Maybe I was just missing the belt! 😉

I have two belts, both of which came attached to dresses I bought. I’m always hesitant to wear them — everyone says it cuts my figure in two and is unattractive! Yours looks cute though, so maybe I just have crappy belts or mean friends. Lol.

I wear the same belt all the time with my jeans but I do have a few other belts I wear with peasant tops to cinch. Belts are fun but fussy.

I own a bunch of weird embarrassing ones like a spongebob one I’ve had since middle school….that’s over a decade ago! I’d say I own at least 10 but never wear any…..pants on da ground, pants on da ground. Looking like a fool with my pants on da ground (please tell me someone remembers this YouTube video and I don’t seem crazy)
