A Well Rounded Meal

Breakfast

FacebookTweetPin
15 Feb

I started today with an easy 20 minute walk/run…Monica run

Ben is on Week4 of the Couch to 5K program. Right now we’re doing 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 run/walk intervals depending on how he feels. He’s up to 2 miles now!

Yesterday we got a great Valentine’s Day package from his parents! They sent us a bunch of fun stuff, including some kitchen goodies. His is mom knows me well SmileIMG_8531

Ben didn’t get me any candy for Valentine’s Day (by request), but who needs that when you have a package of his mom’s homemade cookies?!?! They are dangerous. And they’re especially dangerous because I opened them up solo before dinner yesterday Winking smile

chocolate chip cookies

I hate waiting for a table at restaurants so we avoided the Valentine’s Day crowd and got Indian food takeout. There is a really good little place super close to us that has combo meals with a bunch of choices. Ben and I massacred this spread…

messy Indian food

After dinner Ben and I cuddled with each other the cookies while watching old episodes of Reno 911. It was a great Valentine’s Day <3

This morning I used the one egg pan his mom sent us to make breakfast. This tiny pan is too too cute. Ben and tiny pan

One egg! Coming right up!

I made Ben a smiling sandwich for breakfast Smile

And I stuck with my well rounded meal… Get it, because it’s all circles? Ha. well rounded meal

Curry and cookies sounds so much better than an overpriced meal in a crowded restaurant to me!

I specifically requested (demanded) chocolate this year. Usually I get flowers, but I wanted something edible this year. Ben should have gotten you an edible fruit bouquet instead! 🙂

    That egg pan is adorable!

My mom mailed me home made cookies, too. Mine is living in my freezer until Saturday. It’s heart shaped, because my mom’s a nerd.

I avoided the V-Day crowd, too. Your dinner sounds better than mine, though. A few friends and I just went to Quiznos. haha

I love that mini pan! I’ve seen them around and need to purchase one next time. We had a night at home, too – can’t get into a fancy Valentine’s dinner out on a Monday night. And nothing beats eating in your pajamas…at least that’s how we roll.

I need one of those pans! My stovetop is lopsided so my egg always slides to the side of my giant skillet and it’s so annoying.

I’m pretty sure it’s my burner (it’s an old school gas stove) but I’ve tried fixing it and nothing works! Everyone always puts pictures of these perfectly centered yolks and it makes me sad. lol

I asked my bf not to get me any chocolate for v-day either! He still got pastries though…which I guess defeats the point but they were delicious so its ok 🙂
