Apple and Banana Oatmeal

I made The Best Apple Crisp recipe from Tina at Carrotsncake and it was the BEST! It was my first time making an apple crisp. Normally I don’t like fruit in my dessert, but this was a really good treat. I had some leftover and added it to my oatmeal this morning. It added a great new flavor to the oats and I loved it! I had a huge banana already in the oats and then added the apple crisp and cooked it all together. With the super ripe and HUGE naner and the sweet apple crisp I didn’t need to add any more sugar (obviously the apple crisp was sugary already). I added a little bit of PB on the spoon and was satisfied for about 4 hours.

I also had a good run morning. I don’t know what I am going to do tomorrow. I usually run around a park that is hosting a voter polling location – the one I actually vote at too! I have to finish my run by 7am tomorrow or it’s going to be a crazy house. Thank goodness for the time change so I can start running earlier, I can’t run in the dark around here.

The Plan: I am going to get out super early tomorrow, finish my run by 7 and get in line to vote – yes, all sweaty and gross. A sweaty vote is better than no vote at all. Ha.

It is crazy how long this election has seemed. I was a poli-sci minor in college and love all this stuff, but I am ready to see someone new in office and also see what changes there will be.
