Sadly I headed home to SoCal yesterday. The worst part of traveling back and forth between (anywhere really) FL and CA is the long travel day. I’m not a fan of sitting around waiting but if the plane has wifi – oh yeah! I get so much done It’s better than a library.
Nine hours of travel and a three hour time change later I was back at my parent’s house loving up the dogs and catching up with my little brother.
This morning I went for a short run just to get loose and stretch. I kicked off my shoes and someone went to investigate them.
Basically this picture sums up my life: running shoes, cat, wine. Yes, yes meh and yes.
I have no food in my house since I was out of town for a week and had planned to be gone even longer. So, I had to get creative with breakfast and it totally worked out!
I used this packet of protein powder and added a dash of baking soda and 1/3 cup of water. I’m not usually a lemon person, but I liked them as pancakes fo sho! Now I want to try this with the pumpkin spice flavor.
I cooked them up as pancakes and they were really good! I’d probably use an egg next time just so they stay together a little better, but I would make these again in a second. Maybe even dessert with some powdered sugar?
I hit up the store to restock my kitchen and am pretty excited to get my hands back on my favorite almond butter….
And I randomly bought this puzzle because I am considering getting off my phone one night a week. Maybe. We’ll see. I’m not worried about it if this doesn’t happen but I thought I should at least try. Plus, I’ll learn the state capitals (again). Did you learn them in school and totally forget like me?

Is the recipe for those green beans on your site? They look delish!

That’s so funny about the state capitals- my coworkers and I were just talking about how we can’t remember some of them, so on our down time we learned them haha…this weekend I went to DC/MD for the weekend. Quick trips are definitely tiring but exciting at the same time!

Damn those pancakes look amazing! Is that a thing? Like, protein powder and baking powder and water makes pancakes?? How have I not heard of this before?!
Three words: Ill, gym and coffee. Gonna start a new weight training programme this week, and hopefully get some physio for my poorly feet!

i just can’t do 3 words! Tried to dig deep into my inner smart girl but yeah, not happening.
But in more than 3 words I can tell you my life is a little crazy at the moment. But all good things are happening so I can’t complain.
Ah man! The last 3 words. I shoulda just said “I can’t complain”. LOL

Would you please do a review on the meal replacement mix? I love lemon and it is hard to find meal replacement shakes with lemon!
Thank you!

Puzzles are really addicting. The fiancé and I got one last year to keep us from wasting all weekend in front of the TV. We just finished another one today!
Rachael @ Catch Me if You Can says
So I’m confused, why do you put baking soda in your protein shake? I’ve never heard that before. WiFi on planes are the best but I watch movies instead of work 🙂

Can you believe that my dad flies to florida every week!?! Monday – Thursday he works in Florida, then he flies back after work on Thursday and works Friday and Saturday in LA. He’s been doing it for a few years now. Insane!
