Hello! How’s it going? This morning I had a major fail in an attempt to do some speed work. Bah! It’s hard enough for me to make myself do it without extra obstacles.
RUN:
I do speed work on this flat part of the running path that is exactly a half a mile long. It’s perfect for 800s.
This never happens so I don’t think I need to find a new route just yet but I’m thinking of heading to a track next time. It would make me feel so fancy.
Since I was foiled on my run I turned around and did a few miles in the other direction. Then, I hit the gym for a strength class.
EAT:
I had two breakfasts this morning. Sometimes that’s what you gotta do.
First, I had Pumpkin Granola with yogurt.
Then, some eggs and toast.
After the gym I ran some errands and almost died. DIED.
I cannot even handle this baby koala costume. Get me a baby! (My niece wouldn’t fit in this since it only goes to 12 months.)
Lunch was a massive salad with some random new Thousand Island dressing I bought recently. I don’t know why I would buy that kind since I would NOT order it ever, but it’s good. That is Sriracha and ketchup too.
My table is completely covered with an organization project so I took a picture on the chair. Someone was very interested to check it out…
See? I’m going through my make-up because it’s a chaotic mess. All this stuff was just thrown on my bathroom counter and it was stressing me out.
So, I did what any responsible “type C” personality adult would do in that situation – I ignored it for 4 months until it got worse and then decided to clean it. From there I moved everything to the kitchen table where I ignored it for 24 hours until I realized I need the table to eat
Eating > My lack of discipline
So I finally went through it all today. While having a snack.
Things you shouldn’t REPEAT:
Now onto the big butt advice… I’m sporting my new ombre leggings today. I highly recommend ombre leggings or pants for anyone that has an area of their body that might be bigger than the other parts near it.
While I try to embrace my shape I HATE feeling self conscious with what I’m wearing. You just end up pulling at your clothes or not standing tall or awkwardly standing against the wall so no one looks at your back (is that just me?).
Anyway.
Ombre leggings or pants are kind of cool because we all know black is slimming. Well, if the darkest part of your pants is on your biggest body part and the color gets lighter toward your smaller parts it kind of creates a more balanced look. (Read: My butt and thighs are a lot bigger than my calves so this helps it look a little more like these body parts should belong on one person and I’m not Mr. Potato Head or something.)
You’re welcome?

I love all the cute Halloween costumes and I sort of feel sorry for my two dogs who have been forced to wear them since birth, especially my 120 pound lab.
Fortunately they’ve gotten used to it but I know the neighbors talk when I parade them around in their different costumes about a week before and every day leading up to Halloween.
Yes, I said different costumes, as in they have multiples. I’m a sucker for a Woody costume or a Frankenweenie.
Writing this makes me realize maybe I could use therapy……

Labs are my favorite! I want to see pictures.

YES please dress Vegas up! 🙂 also bought the ombré leggings from target after I saw you post about them a week or so ago… I love them! (Been too hot to wear them right now In Houston though)
runeatrepeat says
Yeah, I almost put them on again today and I was like ‘nope too hot’. Fall? What’s that?

Rachael @ Catch Me if You Can says
if vegas will hold still long enough for you to put that koala outfit on him then you have to get it, its too cute!!! my puppies wont hold still long enough to do anything like that.
runeatrepeat says
I’ve put hats on him before but only if I hold him there. He won’t struggle away if I am holding him, but once I let him go it’s off. I should dress up my mom’s puppies! Yeah right 😉
Meesh says
Those leggings are glorious!
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
Those leggings are super cute! My boyfriend’s kid was a panda for halloween last year and HATED It. There’s a picture hanging in his house of the kid crying and it’s kind of hilarious.
runeatrepeat says
I love it! Is that sad? Kids in cute costumes are the best.
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
I’m thinking Vegas would prefer to be dressed up as a pumpkin. or maybe just a cool cat. No costume needed. 🙂
Tracey says
Ummmm…. yeah, I’m feeling like I take EVERYTHING out to organize it and then we live with the mess for a while. That must be a thing.
Yes to the panda costume. Cute leggings.
Pippa says
I love that your desk was disorganised due to an organisation project- this is exactly what I do!
Please, please buy a panda costume for your cat.
runeatrepeat says
Ha! I know, trying to organize myself made me less organized.
