Yesterday afternoon we headed to Amie’s room. She had a suite at the Fairmont Olympic and that was party central. You can see why…
I had a small glass of white – it was good!
At this point I was hungry and enjoyed a piece of cookie and some crackers with cheese.
Amie works with Organic Valley and they even stocked the room with chocolate milk. I should have refueled with this after my run this morning
We ended up getting lost in conversation until someone realized it was almost 7pm and we headed to the Blogher Food Closing Reception.
It was held at Sodo Park – this amazing rustic venue!
We were all saying this would be the perfect wedding venue!
I got super excited about the Sweet Potato Crab Cakes – two of my favorite things!
I have never had grits before and if they all taste like this – I’m in love.
The party was hosted by Ree Drummond, Jaden Hair and Elise Bauer. Um, I was pretty excited about being within 100 yards of the Pioneer Woman. I should have given her a “red hair don’t care” shirt.
Okay, I really don’t have a shirt like that, but wish I did.
We mingled around and finally ran into Jenna from Eat Live Run. (Source: Tina)
Sadly, I’m a bum and we headed out of there fairly early.
Back at the room Tina and I packed up our stuff and I realized I wasn’t going to be able to fit this box of graham crackers. So, I told her, “We need to eat all of these tonight.”
Tina came through and together we plowed through a pack of them. That’s what friends are for, right?
We had a 5am wake up call and were on the shuttle by 5:30am. I had the best time at the conference! Sad to go home, but excited to see Ben and my fam…
By the time we got through security I was HUNGRY. Tina and I stayed together for breakfast and thought this long line was a good sign
I got an egg sandwich on a multi-grain bagel
Sadly, Tina had to get to her terminal so we parted ways.
I entertained myself on the flight with wifi, a $3.00 pear and Dara Torres
The flight was only about 2.4 hours and was over before I knew it! I’m so so happy this was a west coast trip and I didn’t have to deal with 5 hour flights or jet lag!
When I got home around noon I discovered our fridge was bare and my stomach was grumbling. I grabbed a handful of almonds and hit up TJ’s
I threw together a quick salad lunch
and broke into the Fran’s chocolate I bought at the airport. Apparently this a “must-try” of Seattle.
I wanted to take a nap at this point, but I had one more important thing to do…
Yep, I hit up Costco for essentials
I’m so glad I planned my flight to get home early enough to get myself ready for the week.

So so so good to see you! I love you <3 You are the best ball of energy friend I've ever had.
Julia H. @ Going Gulia says
Amie should be an event planner…girl knows how to throw a soiree (cookies are the answer to everything)!
Pamela says
What a fantastic weekend you had and the bonus, seeing Ree Drummond. WOW
Amber K says
It was a “eat everything in sight because I feel like poo” kind of weekend. Not too hard to crave healthy foods after one of those!
runeatrepeat says
We all have weekends like that, back on track today 🙂
Jenna@redheadrunningwild says
It looks like you had a great time this weekend! That candy bar looks really good…. I also try to get all my groceries and prep for the week on sundays, it definitely helps make life easier!!!
Rebecca @ Miss Magnolia Munches & Moves says
We don’t have Costco, but I hit up Sam’s and the regular grocery store this weekend, too! I always feel so healthy when I’m buying bulk fruits and veggies and other people are buying bulk pizza rolls and chips.
Jen says
That chocolate bar looked freakin’ killer. The main thing I do to set myself up for a good week is make sure I have plenty of delicious, yet healthy, groceries in my kitchen available to make yummy food. I also try to make sure I’m feeling well emotionally and deal with that if I’m not, because icky emotions lead to me not eating right/eating too much/not exercising/etc.

” I also try to make sure I’m feeling well emotionally and deal with that if I’m not, because icky emotions lead to me not eating right/eating too much/not exercising/etc.” Yes! So true.
Tina says
Glad to see that Skyy is part of your essentials. That’s my girl!
I miss you already!!!!!!!!!!
Courtney @ Outrunning Insecurities says
I always get so annoyed because I’m the only one in the house that eats greens when I buy them so they almost always end up going bad before I use all of them. I feel bad for wasting the food and wish that I could find a smaller bag of lettuce or spinach.
Kitchen worktops guy says
My local shop’s started to sell the same amount as there *was* in one pack, but in “twin packs” – so you only have to open half the amount at a time and the other stays sealed and fresh.
Becky @ runfundone says
Every time I see a picture of your Costco cart, I’m amazed that you and Ben can finish all those veggies before they go bad. Way to go!!!
runeatrepeat says
I eat a lot. A lot.
Heather @ Run Eat Play says
Looks like you an awesome time! I’m jealous of all the awesome food!!
Lindsay @ Lindsay's List says
gotta say – i’m super jealous of all of your travels!
runeatrepeat says
I won’t always be able to travel like this, so I’m doing it now 🙂
Kirsten @ Struggling not Starving says
Greens, eggs, and VODKA! We have the same essentials. 😉

I definitely need to get a plan going to start eating healthier again! I just ended my second year of college and I’m doing summer school this summer so I’m going to have time to get myself back into shape! I used to be a high school athlete but my sweet tooth has taking a rein over me. Ha, I’ve definitely gained some muscle from body pump but not 10 lbs worth…My first reaction to seeing my new weight…ah f it i’m eating cake…ha..this may be harder than I thought. I notice that sugar makes my skin break out though as well, so that’s just another incentive…now let me get back to that cake 😛
Kelly @ My Love Affair with Running says
Looked like you had an awesome few days of eating! On Sunday evenings I like to plan my week, clean my house and get organised. For me, organising my life involves writing copious amounts of lists; detailing meals, my workout schedule for the week, shoppings lists etc. Sounds fun, doesn’t it? 😉
Maureen says
I’m glad you had a great time at Blogher. I am ALSO glad that my husband and I are not the only party of 2 that go through so many eggs so quickly! Costco stays in business because of us.
Madison @ Pilates Makes You Happy says
Look at you! Getting home from a busy weekend AND going grocery shopping! Impressive!
Sue says
I got back from Phuket last night (Laguna Phuket Marathon) and am so glad I took the day off. Travelling, even for short distances, can be tiring.
Kat says
My good friend was married at Sodo Park, it was a great venue! Your trip looks like a blast!
Sana says
That chocolate bar is thickkkk…
runeatrepeat says
Just like I like it…
mary says
Seems like a lot of cookies where consumed over the past few days. Jealous
Abby @ BackAtSquareZero says
The Costco 100 flat breads are one of my absolute essentials too!
Serena says
I would have gotten in some serious trouble at that reception. The food looks delicious.
Christina says
I have to know, what do you do with 60 eggs? Do they keep for a while?
runeatrepeat says
I don’t know yet… Ben and I eat at least 4 eggs a day and they’re good until July 3rd so I think we’re okay.
