Because I had such a big lunch I skipped an official afternoon snack and just had a handful of trail mix.
The invites actually got to a lot of people already – I just sent them out yesterday! So, my phone was pretty busy with guest with questions. I need to work on our website so I can refer people there!
But, I would rather work on this site 🙂
Dinner was a big salad with hummus…
and completely charred kale chips with a veggie burger. These are black and I still ate them. I am a freak, but I really wanted an excuse to eat ketchup. I don’t even want to show you a picture though – it was that bad.
After dinner I had a cup of Kashi trail mix
and my mom & I took the perros for a walk
when we got back I had 2 Kashi waffles with BB & PB. I should have stopped at 1, but I went back for another one after I was done. At least I ate it at the table, so it’s a step in the right direction. I overate today, but it was mostly all at the table (except for a few sticks of KitKat!).
It’s kind of frustrating that I can’t just end bad habits with a snap of my fingers, but the most important thing to me right now is ending them forever & that takes a lot of work. I’ve been doing certain things like – night time eating, snacking at the counter, eating when I’m not hungry, eating low calories during the day and then coming home and overeating for years. So it’s going to take a while to stop.

Isn’t it a relief to get invites out? My RSVPs have been coming back randomly, it took longer to get one from somebody 20 min vs. someone in south Florida, the farthest away in North America you can get.

Bad habits are hard to break, but I think it’s important to remember the positive – like eating mostly at the table! I think it always gets easier with time.
I am trying to give up nail biting right now and it’s hard too!

You’re so right that any habits you have bad or not will not stop over night. Be patient with yourself and not so hard, you might find if you stop pressuring yourself it may turn out to be easier.
