Today was so much fun! I had a blast and enjoyed every minute of it. First we hit up the Animal Kingdom. I faintly remember running through certain areas on the mary, but was glad to spend the day exploring.

One of my favorite attractions at Animal Kingdom is the Safari ride. A real African safari is a very long way off, but it was nice to pretend for a minute. Plus, I am an animal lover so seeing animals makes me happy 🙂IMG_7263

While in line I ate an apple and some popcorn. IMG_7254The safari ride talks about poachers trying to get the animals and has this sign in the line area. poachers sign

Which brings me to Matt’s joke of the day:

Question: “What kind of breakfast is illegal?”

 Answer: “Poached eggs!!!”

Lunch was a soft pretzel and a handful of trail mix. We didn’t want to stop to eat since we were in the middle of having fun, so this worked for me! IMG_7272

Me and my little mom 🙂IMG_7278

Look at my mom sneaking into this picture on another ride! Ha. IMG_7283

Epcot has a place where you can try soda from different parts of the world. None of them changed my life, but it was interesting. They used to have the same thing in Las Vegas.

Matt got Fish and Chips for dinner and wanted me to take a picture of it. I thought that meant I should steal a bite of fish and a few fries. Good stuff.IMG_7294

My dinner was the  Vegetable Plate from the Moroccan restaurant in Epcot. My mom ate here yesterday and said it was good. This was perfect because I have been craving falafel!!!

But this falafel was dry and not flavorful. I guess I’m going to have the satisfy the craving another time. I ate it all though because I was hungry! IMG_7295

I had been eyeing ice cream all day and decided to save it for dessert! I ordered a waffle cone with chocolate soft serve. Simple, yet satisfying. ice cream

I don’t know if I mentioned it, but my family is here because my dad is in Orlando for a conference. (He was in conferences all day and didn’t get the chance to hit the theme parks with us.) When we got back he brought this fancy dessert in for us to share.

Decadent Cheesecake! cheesecake

Now I am exhausted. Let me be more clear, super majorly exhausted!!! I’m ready to call it a night.

Tomorrow I just have a short day at the theme parks before I have to catch my flight. This trip was too short 🙂 But great while it lasts!

I’m a long time reader but this is my first comment. I work at Disney and specifically on the safari ride! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂

I had that same falafel platter in Morocco, and had really high expectations of it. It disappointed me too. I didn’t even like the hummus. Boo.

I love Animal Kingdom, it’s my favorite. =)

      HAVE FUN!!

Yeah, I love Disney…not in that “hoard anything Mickey” kind of way, but the “it’s always so much fun” Way to sneak in a mini-holiday.

Sounds like a fun day, especially with a waffle cone and cheesecake at the end. For some reason (probably my lack of brain cells) I missed the part where you were meeting up with your family. I thought you were alone. Duh.
I hope you enjoy the short amount of time you have left with your family.
