Hello! I’m taking a break from Sunday Set Up to say hey and see what’s up on the internet machine.
Last night I went to a party in a dome. Yes. Like, someone I know MADE this dome over the weekend. That’s the garage in the background to the left – this thing is BIG!!
Sunday Set Up
This morning I started my day with a walk and some breakfast. I am really digging relaxing Sunday mornings.
Then, I hit up a few stores for a healthy grocery haul. I already have a lot of veggies so I just stocked up on fruit and eggs. I’m happy apples are in season. I’m not super happy Honeycrisp are a million dollars so I went with Fuji.
And I’m sportin’ a side braid because I’m lazy. I mean, trying to bring it back.
Question: Do you have your meals and exercise planned out for the week? What’s on the agenda??
Tricia @ A Couple of Dashes says
I’ve been epic-ally failing at meal planning the last few weeks. I’ve at least pulled it together enough to have homemade breakfast in the mornings though. Baby steps 🙂
Mary says
I live in a side braid (although in the UK we call it a plait). It’s just too easy not to do when I’m running behind (every single day!)
Leslie @ Life Begins @ 30? says
I hate that Honeycrisp apples are so expensive! They are my faves, but I refuse to pay double for them!! I plan meals for the week and buy all of the groceries on the weekend. I rarely prep anything though. I’m totally on board with the side braid! My hair is super long right now, so I love to throw it in a braid.
Carrie (This Fit Chick) says
I tend to stick to the same schedule, so I already know my workouts! As for meals… I just eat what I feel like at the time ahah… love the braid!
Christine @ BookishlyB says
That dome is pretty awesome. Is there a long-term plan on what it’s going to be used for, or is it just an art/conversation/party piece? Close it in and it’s a yert 😉
I always, always plan out my meals before I go shopping on Sundays. Exercise is more of a day-to-day thing and has mostly been consisting of walks and rides on the indoor trainer.
Hope all is well! Fake it ’til you make it 🙂

That dome is SO cool! So they built it just for fun? Love the little lights on it 🙂
I don’t meal plan per day but we always grocery shop on the weekend and think of a few things we want to make. Generally I make something Sunday that has leftovers so it gets us started for the week. And I’m training for a PR In the half right now so Hal Hignon’s plan is my workout plan – easy since I have to give it zero thought!
Ashley @ Kickashmom says
I wear side braids all the time. They’re not in style?
Katie@Run Wild in Alaska says
We meal plan by the month – otherwise the time just flies and before we know it, it’s a new week and we didn’t do anything.
My workout plan for the week is to not miss ANY workouts. Two weeks ago I was sick, and last week was crazy at work so I opted for only one trip to the gym and a few Tone It Up videos at home. Back on the wagon this week.
Kay @ Kay Bueno says
So cool, what’s the dome being used for?
I had a coworker who was building something similar for Burning Man/crazy camping, but it never came to fruition.
Laura says
I usually try to make a rough plan of meals/ runs for the week on Sunday nights.
Right now I am trying to get it together after a long weekend at the Runner’s world half& festival.
What is sprinkled on top of your coffee?
runeatrepeat says
Cinnamon 🙂

I’m cheating at the moment and I’ve signed up to a weekly meal plan, with all food for 5 days delivered to my door. Takes all the food planning out of my week! I’m appreciating all the extra time I have, but with a little less cash.
I have a pretty standard workout schedule just alternating between weights and a short run, and a HIIT DVD for 6 days each week. Works for me at the moment!
Losing Lindy says
so funny everyone is talking about meal planning, I was just reading someone else’s blog about this very subject this afternoon. Her blog is http://www.livehalffullblog.com/ My problem with meal planning, I have no idea what I am in the mood for, and how hungry I might be. I dislike leftover very much, and my 7yr old is very into eating everything some days and other days not at all.
Love the dome!
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner says
Driving back from LA so the last thing on my mind is grocery shopping. I do usually prep my workouts. So when I finally get home later I’ll get on that.
Karla @ Foodologie says
Honeycrisps are on sale for $0.99/lb at Wholesome Choice! Not sure if you ever venture to that side of Irvine (Michelson & Culver), but worth it for well-priced Honeycrisps 😀
runeatrepeat says
I’ve never been to that store! Need to look it up.
K says
They are 99 cents a pound at Sprouts right now too! There is a new Wholesome Choice is Aliso Viejo. The hot bar there is amaaaaaaaazingggg.
Linda @ TheFitty says
I never food prep–I just rely on my slow cooker overnight. 🙂
runeatrepeat says
I love my slow cooker! Need to bust it out soon.
Brenda @ Don't Lose the Trail says
I went grocery shopping today too so I have a vague idea of what I’ll be eating this week, but I don’t stick to a strict meal plan. I never know what I’ll be in the mood for on any given day!
Brooke@runningonchange says
No I would like to start. Do you have any suggestions or tips?
runeatrepeat says
I start basics – what I know I’m going to have for breakfast and lunch, those are usually easy.
Then, I make a plan for a few dinners and know I’ll make extra so I don’t have to cook every night.
My exercise plan is based on what I have coming up on the race schedule.
Brooke@runningonchange says
Those are great tips thanks for the insight!
Jojo @ Run Fast Eat Lots says
I went grocery shopping just now, but I don’t meal plan. Which I should start doing but I’m never that organized.
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
I am never that organized. Plus, my mom is in town this week, so we are kind of making things up as we go along. 🙂
Also, that dome is crazy!
