Egg Scramble & 12 miler

12 miles in 1:52:something this morning 🙂 I felt good, but I’m still having trouble with the hills. I have gotten a lot slower since moving to MD and I have to blame the hills!

When I got back Ben was making an egg/ham and cheese sandwich. It smelled so good! I decided to make an egg scramble sandwich. I used spinach, mushrooms, garlic and cheese. Mixing veggies with eggs is the best way to get veggies in at breakfast! I ate the extra scramble on the side. DSCN1989DSCN1987

We are out of fruit and really need to get to the store! Be back later 🙂

Way to go on the 12 miler! And egg scrambles are my favorite way to start out the day with veggies! Spinach, mushrooms and garlic are three of my favorites. I also like zucchini in there!!

Hey Monica! I had talked to earlier about training for a half marathon and fueling for it…I have since completed 12 miles, but I was wondering how 12 miles impacts your body?

I know we are all different, but I was just wondering how sore you feel after the 12 miles. My knee’s are usually sore and its weird going up the steps. It takes me about two days to fully recover in my legs.
      Thanks!

P.S. I love love love your blog…you are too funny and your so down to earth. Your a great role model, keep up the good work 🙂

I hate being out of fruits and veggies. That was the first thing I bought today. I bought that before I even made my menu plans for the next two weeks to go “real shopping”.

      Congrats on your 12 miler!
As far as hills go, I live in Northern Virginia and curse the hills every time I run. I know they’ll make our legs stronger, but the burn can be unbearable at times.

12 miles is insane! congrats! And since moving to providence, I’ve definitely been noticing the hills, and it’s frustrating the hell out of me.
