Embarrassing Diary Entries and a NEW Self Cleaning Litter Box!

My Life· What Runners Eat

26 Jun

Hello! How was your week? I kind of had a rough night and randomly woke up at 3am and could not go back to sleep. I felt like I was hungry (which has never happened before in my memory) but I rolled with it and got a snack. Well, if you count eating PB straight from the jar a snack… Don’t judge. Has that ever happened to you?

have you ever woken up at 3am and eaten pb (450x800)

Last night I made wild rice for dinner along with a spicy eggplant frozen meal I had. I know I’ve had wild rice before, but I can’t remember how long it’s been. I love rice Smile

Thursday morning is my rest day from running. So I use that day to get in some strength work and stretching. I wore my new Fabletics gear for the occasion.

I am in LOVE with this sports bra and open back tank look! (The outfit came with both.)

Fabletics is a service kinda like Stitchfix but for workout gear. They deliver personalized active wear to your door when you become a VIP member. Plus the stuff is super cute. I wanted to try it after seeing some of my friends’ open back tops.

In food news, I ate a regular sized banana that looks tiny in my massive hands.

In embarrassing news…

I was cleaning out my desk and found this old notebook that I used to use as a food diary during college. After my break-up with my college bf I was a complete mess and wrote a whole thing about why we broke up and why I should accept it and move on. It was super sad at the time and now it’s just kinda awkward to look back on it. Ha!

this is embarrassing but (450x800) embarrassed

In Vegas news…

He is a bad little kitty today! First he attacked my rocking chair – check out RER on Instagram for that.

And then he took a long nap in Ben’s suitcase to make sure his hair is everywhere.

And to think I bought him a fancy new Omega Self Cleaning litter box that is magical. You just turn it on it’s side and all the poops roll into that handle area and you just dump it out!

I feel like I’ve had a super long week so I treated myself to some sparkling wine this afternoon. Ahhhhh. I needed that.

because i really love bubbles (450x800)

Question: On a scale of 1 – 10 how  was your week?

1 = BEST week of your life

10 = Your pet died and you got gum in your hair

OMG so I broke up with this guy like my first year in grad school, and I’m mortified even thinking back on the fact that I a, dated him, and b, allowed him to treat me SO badly. It was like I didn’t know my worth or something. Thank God for Beyonce and my overinflated sense of self now!

my cat is getting OLD, and I think the litter box is hard for him, and every so often I find he didn’t get it all in the box 🙁

That top is awesome! So since we moved I recently came across my journal of when I was going through my college breakup. I was a complete mess. It was pretty sad (in a pathetic kind of way) to read it. Lol

My week’s been a 7 or 8 so far. Very uneventful in all aspects, but I got some good workouts in and now I’m resting before a race on Sunday. Ugh the taper crazies may be about to set in!

Haha I kinda love finding old journals…especially break up ones. Always so entertaining! Also, that banana is adorable. Also, I’ve been stalking your blog. I feel creepy…but I kinda like it at the same time.

That suitcase looks comfy! I was just looking through an old box and found my yearbooks. Hilarious to see what everyone wrote in my yearbook back then.

Week is a 5 – nothing huge either way.

BUT – I need a full review on that self cleaning litter box sometime soon. We are up to three cats now and the litter box is a busy location in our home!

I just threw my diary away a few months ago. I couldn’t even bear to open it.
My week has been a 5. Nothing too exciting here, but I’m glad that I’ll only be working 3 days next week!

I will rate it a 3–It’s summer! I have family visiting this week and next, the kids are home from school…ahhh. It would be much better if my husband were home!

I’m going with a 7. Attended a funeral and started an onsite freelance job that has exhausted me. It’s hard meeting lots of new people and remembering their names. And I only ran one weekday. Oh well next week will be better!

I have all my childhood diary’s under my bed in a storage unit. My favorite diary moment is where I wrote at age 13 “I rode the roller coaster with Ricky today. I love him sooooooo much.” Ah, simpler times 😉

Also I need that litter box.
