Finally Friday & Wedding Menu Ideas

I am so happy that it’s Friday. I don’t get to to see Ben during the week since we live kinda far from each other (with traffic it takes too long!) so I’m happy to go straight from work to his place. Since he does live a ways from my work too I am trying to change up my schedule to get here earlier so I can leave early.

Workout –

I woke up at 5am this morning, did 30 Day Shred & got in the shower. I know I’m going to get antsy from no walk or run so I am going to either take a long walk when I get to his neighborhood or go to the gym. I’m hoping to leave work by 4pm today so hopefully I will miss traffic and have plenty of time to do whatever I want before he gets out of work 🙂

Since I was trying to get in early today breakfast was On-The-Go-Oats:

Now I am drinking coffee to keep me full (since I ate a lot earlier than normal).

Wedding –

My wedding venue is very open to menu suggestions & basically said they can try to work with whatever I want. Which is great! But, I have no idea where to even begin. Which is not great.

I would like to have some kind of Mexican inspired food – but a fancier version. Like sopes with grilled polenta or shrimp enchiladas… Do you guys have any suggestions? Have you ever been to a wedding or event and had the best food ever? What was it? I don’t have to stick with the Mexican theme, so I am open to whatever you think is great… Additionally, a Paradise Valley event venue can also provide the perfect backdrop for weddings, corporate gatherings, or any special occasion. With its stunning landscapes and versatile spaces, guests are sure to be captivated by the natural beauty and ambiance that the venue offers.

Here are the facts:

– June wedding

– at a winery in Paso Robles, CA

– need appetizers, first course (doesn’t have to be salad/soup) & main course suggestions

– Ben is a meat & potatoes guy, I am more tofu, sweet potatoes and huge salads

Do you have any suggestions? Help.

At my wedding we hardly got to have 2 bites! But everyone else said the food was fabulous. So my advice is to plan a menu that is appealing to the masses, not just to your tastes. This will lend to a much happier mood around you. ;p
