I saw The Hangover Part 3 last night. I’m not usually one to go to opening night of a movie but I had nothing else to do and have been in a comedy drought, so Hangover it was!
I liked it! I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised Let me know what you think when you see it.
Fitness Fashion – Janji Running Gear
Janji is a running apparel company with a mission – trying to fight the world’s food and water crisis. Recently a rep sent me some of their gear to try.
Runners require proper hydration and ample nutrition to train, run 5Ks and finish marathons. At the same time, millions of people around the world lack the basic necessities for survival.
We can change that.
Through each purchase of Janji’s distinctive running apparel, a portion of proceeds funds organizations that are alleviating the worst problems related to food and water.
The company partners with organizations that provide clean water/build wells, medicine and food to those in need.
I’m wearing the women’s Tanzania shirt that gives 3 Tanzanians 10 years drinking water through a well project. These are the colors of the Tanzanian flag.

Purchase the women’s Bangladesh shorts and a family there gets 2 season’s worth of seeds to grow their food. Proceeds go to the Helen Keller International organization.
These shorts are great because they have pockets and are comfy.

*I got a Medium and usually wear a large, so I think they run a little big.
I think it’s an amazing cause – hope you’ll support them if you’re in the market for new gear!
Question: What are you doing this weekend? Any Memorial Day fun?
Love the cause & LOVE those shorts!!!
Family & hubby time this weekend & some exercise & rest. 🙂
No Memorial Day over here but we did get yesterday (Friday) off for Wesak Day. It’s been a great weekend so far – groups runs yesterday and today (maybe even tomorrow), strength training yesterday and tonite is my grandma’s birthday dinner.
What an awesome cause! As for weekend fun, I am spending my Memorial Day with The Boy and the dog at the beach…on a boat! Whoot!
What a fantastic cause! I love being able to give back through everyday purchases.
What a great company!
Weekend plans? Work tomorrow morning, then off to my nephew’s high school graduation party. Sunday, church and then both daughter’s have softball practice. Monday my oldest brother is having us over to his house for lunch and play on his new boat. They live on a lake.
Family weekend – all 18 of them and all in one house!! My husbands fam is huge!! Where in the lovely state of Florida?? I’m in Tampa!!
Sounds like a really good cause.
I really like the shorts.
Pockets are icing on the cake!!
An apparel store at my school sells Janji shirts and shorts! Now I wish I bought one (though they are a bit pricey for me).
I am going bike shopping this weekend. I want to get me a road bike!
Oh! Just realized that Janji was founded by Washington University students. That’s why!
That’s so cool seeing people from my school doing amazing things 🙂
What an interesting concept. I like that they are contributing to what is really needed in those areas – food and fresh water.
There is no way you should be wearing a large
Oh Lindy, wait till you meet me in person. 😉
I can’t wait to meet you in person! I know I am right. 🙂
love love love companies that give back! we rarely think about how much extra we have and how much variety we have, just in fitness clothing, when there are people struggling to have the essentials!
I’ll be running M2B Marathon this Sunday.
Those shorts really do look comfy!
That running gear looks really good. I’m about to get a massage and getting a haircut tomorrow in preparation for heading to Sorrento, Italy, on Tuesday for my friend’s wedding!
Ah! Have a safe trip!!
I’m looking forward to seeing The Hangover too. I know it’ll be the same as the first too, but sometimes you just need to laugh.
Tonight the boyfriend and I are going to Chinatown for dinner. I haven’t been there in a year or so, so I’m looking forward to it.
Love companies that are socially responsible. I’m going to check them out! Thanks Monica!
I’m working alllllll weekend, but I’m looking forward to the paycheck that will come after. 🙂
No memorial day plans, as I have to work, but Mark is free so I’m expecting to at least have some deliciously grilled meat to eat when I get home. 🙂 Those shorts are adorable, BTW, and I’m always up for the bonus points of buying clothes for charity!
Running a half marathon in Texas heat! I hope you have a great weekend!
best of luck in that heat … i mean that half 🙂
Sounds like a great cause! I’m just dropping in to say that before reading your post on the Road ID, I had never heard of it and now, I am happy to say that I just received mine in the mail. Thank you for the info!!
That is seriously the coolest idea ever!
What an awesome cause. It gives me a great excuse to buy some running gear! 🙂
Oh, and I’m going to see that movie tonight! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
xo.
It’s always good when you have a legit excuse!
Do they make mens running gear? Maybe they don’t run big but the 4,000 calories you burnt last Saturday shrunk you a size 🙂
I think I’ll see it this weekend. I’m doing spray tans tonight, running and pool time. 🙂 BBQ and soccer games. Hopefully we’ll find a cool event to go to on Monday. Love holiday weekends.
Awesome cause… and those shorts are super cute!
I’m being forced to go camping on Saturday and on Sunday I’m taking my grill out of hibernation and having a few folks over at my place to eat lots of food and break in the Beermeister.
Oh, and running of course. But no races this weekend.
Enjoy your weekend!
Those shorts are adorable, having the little cut in the center is so flattering on a toned leg! Also, what a noble company. Wow. I’ll definitely be checking them out!
Going home this weekend! Which means…eating. a lot.
I love merchandise that supports a cause! Those shorts look super comfy, I’m going to have to check them out.
It’s great seeing companies helping the community. We’re running a 5k tomorrow morning!
Super cute! Love those shorts and I need your tan! I need to look this up!
Excellent cause! This weekend I’ll be doing some shopping of my own, taking advantage of a sale at REI.
