Back in the early days of America blogging we had to walk to school barefoot in the snow, uphill both ways. And we had to hunt our own dinner (but at least it was organic). And we had to be smug that we ate chia seeds before they became cool.
And some of us posted everything we ate all day everyday. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.
Sometimes I miss the simplicity of that, but mostly I wonder how I got any readers at all! But, you’re here and I thank you for that.
Here is (some of) what I ate today:
Snacks! These World Peas are BACON flavored.
For some reason bacon has a bigger cult following than the Church of Scientology. So, before you get all excited I have to say that they are good, but they don’t really taste like bacon.
Kinda related: Aaaand now I want to eat this. Can someone please make this and invite me over?
I also made the Apple Cinnamon Muffins with flour and sugar to replace the protein powder today. They came out great!
Lunch was courtesy of Costco samples and their turkey wraps with cranberry cream cheese spread.
Dinner was courtesy of Trader Joes – Sweet Potato Tots and Chile Lime Burgers.
Picked this up on a walk. It’s good.
And now I’m baking for the second time today. I’m ridiculous. I’m using these ingredients – any guesses on what I’m making?
Now I must tend to my baking – see you later!

You “made the muffins with flour and sugar to replace the flour”?
I’m confused….? Did the OG recipe just have flour?
Mal says
I’m confused too
runeatrepeat says
Fail. I meant – I used sugar and flour to replace the protein powder in the previous recipe. I’ll update it.
runeatrepeat says
I’m drunk.
Okay not really. I used sugar and flour to replace the protein powder in the previous recipe. I’ll update it.

Haha! 🙂 If I had the brilliant idea of soaking watermelon in tequila and adding salt, my brain would be preoccupied too! (That looked so refreshing and awesome! I’m gonna tailgate the recipe next weekend!) ~:D

I wish I hadn’t read this. I live in Turkey and you’ve just reminded me how much I miss bacon, can’t find pork here anywhere!
Sara @ LovingOnTheRun says
These look delicious! I am not big on the bacon ..I know it probably makes me the uncool outcast girl and I’m OK with that! 🙂

Have you had the silk yogurt? I’ve recently gone vegan (in a last ditch effort to lower my genetically high cholesterol) so I have ventured into the world of non-dairy milk, etc. It wasn’t as disgusting as I expected.
Jackie says
Yum I’ve never tried those tots!
Jojo says
Haha I go to Costco during lunch time to eat samples. Uh, and then I get their froyo/soft serve. I’m so healthy.

I think you are making ice cream!!

Love the look of those wraps and sweet potato tots! Saturday morning breakfast fit me is usually a smoothie, but I had raspberry yoghurt and strawberries instead. Yum! Should I admit that they were sprinkled with chia and flax? 😮
I’m sure it’ll all go downhill from here….
Have a great weekend!
