Happy Monday! It’s a short week – working Monday through Wednesday then off for the holiday!
I love Thanksgiving! I think it might be my favorite holiday, or really it’s tied with Christmas. It’s one of the few days a year that I enjoy an indulgent meal guilt free. Guilt free is the key term here, don’t get me wrong I of course eat indulgent meals other times – I just feel guilty about it. Ha. It’s funny because it’s true. I am not one of those people who tries to stay low-cal on Thanksgiving. F that. It is one day a year and it is based around food and cooking and eating with the fam. I am not trying to measure out my portions. But, I am going to listen to my body’s hunger cues and stop eating when I am full. I always overeat and then feel like crap. I actually do this pretty often, but especially on holidays or special occasions. I am just going to enjoy it, eat what I want and stop when I am full.
I’m still looking for some good recipes because I want to make something new. I usually make Cornbread Casserole and something else. Hmmmm. I also am trying to take over the stuffing for my mom. I need to do some research on-line today.
I mentioned that I might make the recipe I got from Rotta Winery for Rotta Black Monukka Sherry Cake, but I don’t know if I am going to save that for Christmas. I kind of would rather make it for T-day because the BF is going to be with his fam on Christmas and I don’t want him to miss out on the cake because it’s supposed to be amazing!
