Hello! How’s it going? Today I set out for a run with 4 hill repeats. I ended up running about 5 miles to warm up and then doing an overpass 4x for the hills.
I am super excited about my next race (well one of my next races, I don’t know if I have one before it because I’m not organized)…
I signed up for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon and the 10K. Together those races are considered the Pixie Dust Challenge!! How cute is that name?
I love Disney races (despite that I had to sell a kidney to cover the costs, I really liked my kidney we’d been through a lot together)! They are the best races to dress up for and there are so many photo ops and I just feel like everyone is in this happy Disney magic spirit.
And to make it even more fun I signed up my mom to run the 10K with me. She’s been wanting to do a race together and we were going to do one recently but our schedules haven’t worked out.
So I surprised her with this news last week and she is so excited!! Me too!!! But I need your help.
What should we dress up as? I kind of want to dress up as a duo or Disney friends or something. I’m okay re-doing a costume I’ve done before but am also open to something super random.
Past Disney Races / Costumes:
Disneyland Half Marathon recap
Toy Story Jessie Running Costume
Disney World Wine and Dine Half Marathon
I really like Disney races, obviously. Anyway. Thoughts on a costume I can run in? Thoughts on a costume I can do with my madre?
Thoughts on other stuff you just feel like sharing today??

I did the half last year, it was such an awesome race. Except for the end, which seemed like it needed more characters along the last mile to keep you going lol. I would totally do it again but it’s on Mother’s Day and my mom had a shitty one because I abandoned her last year. Cue the guilt!

Elsa and Anna? You already have the red hair to be Anna! I have a thing for Disney Princesses and TinkerBell so anything in that line OR you could totally be Robin Hood and Maid Marian. That would be the best.

I almost signed up for this race last month, but it’d just be too much to get out there and back to work on Monday (I’m on the east coast). After doing the Princess half in February, I want that pink coast-to-coast medal though!!
You could do pink sleeping beauty and your mom could be blue sleeping beauty!
Christi says
Definitely Mrs Potts and Chip!
Trace says
You can be Merida and your mom can be a bear!
Gaby Ruzin says
OMG i want to run that race so badly
elsie and anna!
p.s. i would love if everyone could check out my blog!

Everyone has oven you such good ideas. My first thought was chip and dale. Good luck deciding!

I’m running Tinker Bell too, for the 5th time! The first year I saw you and SR before the start but felt like too much of a weirdo to say hi.
Dress like a Dole Whip! I saw a picture of a girl in a yellow tank that said “Dole” and a yellow tutu at one of the Florida races.

That is a good idea!!

Joy and Envy from Inside Out!

A Disneyland race is on my bucket list. I just signed up for Wine and Dine and couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been thinking of costumes myself but you could do Peter Pan and Wendy, Sebastian and Flounder, the evil step sisters, or Winnie the Pooh and Piglet ( or any of those characters)

I signed my mom up to run the 10K with me as well! We are doing it together, and I am running the half marathon the next day. We are going to wear matching fairy costumes! This will be my mom’s first 10K, and it is our first run together. I’m so excited for you and your mom!

I love love love Disney races! I’m not doing Tinkerbell but I’m doing my 4th Disney race later this year. My friend and I are also looking for partner costumes. My top picks so far are Peter Pan & Captain Hook or Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum!

Anna and Elsa! I did the Disney Goofy Challenge a few years ago. It was a really fun race, I’d love to do another Disney race at some point! (but you are right about needing to sell a kidney for that, they are $$$$!)
Rachael @ Catch Me if You Can says
so many good disney duos! i love doing daisy and donald they dont get as much love as mikey and minnie. you could also do nemo and dory, they are pretty much solid colors so its pretty easy. i mean there will be a ton of tinkerbells but her and a friend is another option. for you by yourself, reuse that sleeping beauty costume! i love recycling costumes, and i love sleeping beauty. have fun im not running that race but ill be there for avengers!
Kaylin@EnticingHealthyEating says
What about Pocahontas and Nico? Or Rapunzel and her lizard friend (you could dress in all green)?
Sana says
I can’t with the Disney races. Too many people and you have to get up too early and so expensive. But good luck! I am just a sour princess. 😉
Kerry @ Half Healthy, Half Nuts says
Woody and Buzz! You already have stuff from Jessie that you can use for Woody.
I am a Disney race fanatic as well, just signed up for the Wine and Dine yesterday, and yes, I had to sell my Beanie Baby collection to cover the cost. But, there’s nothing more exciting than running a race in the middle of the night (!) with 10,000 other people dressed up as fairies and Disney characters. The BEST.
