Run Eat Repeat

Is It Breakfast?

Is it still considered breakfast if you didn’t sleep?

Or is this just dinner #2?

Ben and I took the red-eye from L.A. to Miami. He slept. He always sleeps. I bet he’s sleeping right now actually.

I slept a little, but not nearly enough. And now we’re in the Miami airport waiting for our next flight. I finally tracked down a Starbucks and scored breakfast (if that’s what we’re calling it).

Oatmeal, mixed nuts and a banana. I was very disappointed to realize I put my packets of almond butter in my checked bag. Fail. IMG_0044

I also stole some of Ben’s Cafe con Leche. Um, amazing. I’m convinced it was made with heavy cream and not milk. If it tastes too good to be true, it probably is. And this was.

I should be doing homework, but my brain is broken from fatigue. Maybe another cup of that Cafe con Leche would give me a boost?

Fact: “You look tired!”

Is not a welcome statement from anyone, anywhere. Thanks.

In the News:

Many  timing chips fell off runner’s shoes in a half marathon in the UK.

The Montreal Oasis Marathon is going on right now. And so is the Kauai Mary!

And the Disneyland Half is today too! I want to do this one next year if we’re not on our honeymoon/birthday trip.

THIS IS YOUR YEAR.

Just came back from Disney! You should do it next year, you can get a Coast to Coast from doing one at Walt Disney, FL. The medals are pretty bling..

Scrounging for food at the airport totally stunk the last time I was there. I hope you can get some sleep soon!

      Safe travels!

I am like Ben – I always sleep on a plane. I usually don’t even make it through take off.

I think the oatmeal from Starbucks isn’t too bad – it just ticks me off that it is instant oatmeal – and costs an arm and a leg. I try to remember to bring my own packet – but I never do!

Dude, there was a guy at my old job who would constantly tell me, “You look really tired this morning. Are you not getting enough sleep?” I’d be like, “Actually, I got 8 hours, and I feel great. Thanks [Jerk].” Worst thing to say to someone.

Never tried the oatmeal from Starbucks…is it any good? Does it just come plain, and they have add-in options?
