Run Eat Repeat

Just the Tip: Fruit Ice Cubes

Diet Tips

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday I had a lil ‘NSV’ aka ‘non-scale victory’ when I finally went to yoga! Are you guys familiar with ‘NSV’ from the ol’ weight loss message board days? No? Just me the weirdo, okay.

Anyway- good job Monican

This morning I did a sad attempt at speed work. I’m still not feeling it, so I make a compromise where I do the planned run even if it’s slower or whatev.

I am the most undisciplined person on Earth so I will give myself an “E” for effort. Yes, I took a poll of all the Earth’s inhabitants and everything so you can quote me on that.

I’ve been trying out these new Raw Vegan Wraps and had one with breakfast. Full review coming soon. (Spoiler: Don’t get too excited.)

Just the Tip : Fruit Ice Cubes

When I was on the Silk trip the hotel had 3 kinds of water out in the lobby. I love fancy water so I tried all three of them. Mmmmmm.

That inspired me to make my own ‘spa water’ at home.

Just the tip – use frozen fruit or veggie slices to flavor your water!

I used the leftover frozen watermelon chunks from my Skinny Watermelon Margarita to make a refreshing glass of my fave WATERmelonWater.

Then, I got super crazy with it and added a sprig of mint from the new addition to our patio garden. I know, watch out.

Speaking of watermelon fun… I went to the store in search of an iced tea pitcher yesterday and randomly spotted these watermelon measuring cups! I die. So, I scored but the pitcher search continues.

I found this set at Marshall’s but I found the exact same ones on Amazon here.

Question: What fruit or veggie would you put in your water?

I love citrus water. I HATE cucumber water. The salon I used to go to had cucumber water & I found it to be the most disgusting thing ever. It tasted like feet. Not that I know what feet taste like but it smelled like what I think feet would taste like. I have also found that if the citrus has been IN the water too long then it tastes bad. Yes, I’m picky but I own it!

Lemon lime but I hardly take cold water and it hardly gels with warm/room temp water.

Fruit over veggies for me with the exception of grapefruit. My dining hall at school attempts to be fancy by having flavored waters, but the grapefruit one is DISGUSTING.

I love fruit infused water. I have berries in my Camelback right now. It’s usually cucumbers & sometimes mint too. I put it in 1st thing in the a.m. & refill my bottle throughout the day. LOVE it!

I think I’m going to have to do more experimenting with my water. I just drink plain water, but have tried the cucumber/lemon water and think it’s the most refreshing thing ever! Is it weird to think that basil and watermelon water might be good? That is weird.

I put a handful of frozen strawberries in my water bottle every morning. I leave them in there all day, even with several refills, I have yummy water all day! When I get home my beagle knows she gets the strawberries. They are very water logged, but she thinks I’m giving her gold!

I’d put in orange, lemon or lime. I like tons of other fruits, but citrus just sounds most appetizing.

I looove cucumber water (I love cucumber cocktails even better!) but can’t stand lemon or lime. I actually think it makes the water taste dirty. Weird, I know.

I love both lemon/lime and cucumber water. Refreshing on a hot day. But I kid you not, my friend and I are obsessed with hot peppers and one time we added habaneros to our water. It was…interesting.
