I think it’s finally time to bust out the long sleeve running tops! It was in the mid 50s when I woke up so I dug into my cold weather gear drawer for the first time since April.
I woke up this morning feeling a little better. I woke up from a bad dream, which sucks (a guy stole from me when my shoes got stuck in a crevice and then stole my shoes from my feet!) but I didn’t have to rush to the bathroom. I took it as progress.
So, I gave it a few minutes and decided to go for a run. I still feel a little nauseous but think that’s because of the anti-malaria pill that I’m taking each morning. (I’m not pregnant, but if you want to send me a pregnancy test I’ll take it and post a picture.)
Stoneyfield sent me some of their new drinkable greek yogurts and I ate some cereal style hoping the active cultures would calm anything left living in my belly.
The Pomegranate Berry flavor is a little tart for ne, but perfect with some sweet cereal.
I couldn’t get in to the doctor yesterday, which is why I’m still guessing about my healthy status. If I have any more stomach issues I’ll probably go to urgent care.
Now I need to catch up on all my friends running this weekend! With Savannah and New York races it’s super exciting and I wish I was playing too!!!
I found this Nike ad very inspirational and had to share. I know it’s crazy to run when you’re on vacation or sick or super busy. If I was dying I probably wouldn’t, but if I’m just under the weather running makes me feel better.

That’s a great quote! I’ve discovered that I am in need of long sleeve things for winter running. Guess I’ll just have to shop!

I don’t understand how Greek yogurt can be drinkable. The Greek yogurt I like is so thick there is no way it could be eaten without a spoon. Although maybe I should try… 😉

Hey there! I’m a new follower and found you b/c of POTM. thanks for doing that!
Just wanted to comment about your anti-malarial- I hope it’s not meflaquin/larium. That stuff is wicked! My hsuband had crazy side effects and a few of our other friends had wild side effects.
peace out!

I think I’m on the other one, but I still got the worst sunburn and a few weird dreams!
Georgia says
Interesting! Doxy (doxycycline) causes sun sensitivity like crazy but meflaquine/larium cause crazy dreams, insomnia among other things. Hopefully you’ll feel better soon!

RunEatRepeat says
My nose always runs when I run! I have a paper towel with me 🙂

Whoah, if you consider your weather cold enough for long sleeves, than I DEFINITELY should be bundling up for outdoor runs! I’ve never run in the cold before, but have been dying to run outside lately…except I keep thinking that I’ll get too hot if I wear long sleeves or a sweater. At what temperature do you usually throw on a parka or something?
RunEatRepeat says
It doesn’t get colder than 40 here, so I don’t need to go to the ‘parka level’. When I was in Maryland it was always hard for me to judge.

Monica, thanks for the running inspiration. It is exactly how I feel about running;)) feel better….
Su says
Why are you taking the anti-malaria pills?
RunEatRepeat says
I went to Panama and you have to take them for a few weeks after you come back.

Love that Nike ad! I’d definitely still run even if I had all of those things. 🙂

It was 44 degrees this morning in San Diego! I need to get some long sleeved running shirts for the Vegas half! Any recommendations? I am worried about being too sweaty and cold.
Hope you feel back to your old self soon!
RunEatRepeat says
The Champion line has some at Costco. I think they have thumb holes too!

I hope your belly feels better! Good call on the active cultures. Love that quote!

I love, love, love this running quote!!!
This is such an exciting weekend for running! I’m caught up in all the NY hype. This fall weather has me loving running again. For some reason I love it even more in a long sleeved shirt 🙂
