Happy Friday! I got home from work at 8:30 last night, ate too much and went to sleep. When my alarm went off at 4:50am today (yes, I keep pushing it back because I’m late) I was not ready to face the outside world. This pic is from my drive home, the way there is pitch black because I drive with my lights off for dramatic effect.
Luckily, today I packed my pre-run fuel (so I could go for a longer run right after boot camp). Unluckily, I forgot my water bottle and decided to go home and get it. It’s so dry here just breathing makes you dehydrated.
This sandwich is saving you from dealing with all my baggage that’s under my eyes.
I wore my Chocolate Milk Team Refuel pants from LuLulemon this morn’. The company provided us with our pick of gear and added logos. Since everyone and their mother raves about Lulu I decided to get a pair of Inspire Crops. Size 10 in case you want to buy me another pair or feel better about your own size.
But, the logo is coming off I was kinda hoping it left a funny saying in it’s place, but I played Scrabble in my brain for the longest time and couldn’t come up with anything…
Okay, so I’ve heard that Lululemon pants/capris make your butt look so good you won’t wear any other kind again.
Well, I looked at these pictures close up and realize I may need more help than a pair of magic pants can provide. Maybe if I wear two pairs or do a damn lunge every now and then….
I also wore my muppet gloves. These gloves make my hands look like muppet hands, don’t you think?!
I find this hysterical since I’ve always thought my big features make me look like a Muppet. (Now you see the resemblance, don’t lie.)
Ben’s mom saved my life when she gave me these gloves right before we left for the Disneyworld Marathon. Seriously, I did not pack warm running gear and was frozen that entire race These gloves were the best thing I had!
Run: I had 15 on the schedule, but my hip has been super tight (because I don’t go to yoga and am full of BS excuses). So, I decided to cut it back to 11 and save my energy for the half marathon this weekend.
Breakfast was a yogurt bowl. Yes, there is yogurt under there somewhere.
with extra cereal. So, this is what I actually ate…
I also busted open a package the Vega team sent me. I’m not supposed to post about this until January (giveaway coming), but I had to mention that this is the BEST tasting protein bar I’ve ever had. THE BEST.
Since my legs are tired my plan for the half is to dress like Santa so no one recognizes me and find a way to be pulled 13.1 miles on a sleigh so I don’t actually have to run.
Question: What are your weekend plans?
Bonus Question: Do you own a pair of magic pants? What are they/where can I get some?
Sara says
Not going to lie, I just got a pair of lululemon capris for Christmas and I think they are the most magical pants EVER. Seriously. I don’t know if it’s the color (black) or the length (crop) or if they are just made of magical fabric – but whatever it is it WORKS. (Or I am crazy and should have my eyes checked. Whichever.)
Sarah @blueeyedbarbie.blogspot.com says
No magic pants for me, however i still dont get the hype over lulu. So expensive for basic pieces.
Kerry @ Half Healthy, Half Nuts says
I ran that 2010 Disney World Half Marathon and it was SO COLD!!!! (I totally wore gloves too) It actually was sleeting the day of the Half. It doesn’t sleet in Florida EVER, so that was a horrific race for me. Brr. Here’s hoping this year it’s warm.
Katy Widrick says
Too funny about the pants…and you’ve inspired a confession. We have a full Lulu store AND an amazing outlet, and I still haven’t bought even a single piece of clothing. Why? I’m afraid that the so-called magic powers won’t work on me and that I’ll just feel defeated and gross in the clothes. And if I’m spending $100 to feel gross, it’s going to be on frozen yogurt and red wine.

If I could find some pants that make me look like I have an actual butt I would make a killing amongst my fellow flat-assed ladies. I tried to take a spin class once and I think I bruised my tailbone because there’s not nuttin’ back there!
Amber K says
I mean there’s JUST nothing back there, LOL
Lindsay @ Lindsay's List says
I’ve missed reading your blog these past few days. That is all.

Thanks 🙂

As someone who lives on the plus size side of life Lulu doesn’t make any pants that fit me. However, I do really like the Wal-Mart Danskin exercise capris. They’re comfortable, just warm enough for the weather in Florida so far, and I happen to think they make my butt look great. Although, truth be told, I think my butt looks good no matter what.
Sierra @ Posh Meets Pavement says
Spanx tights are amazing. Throw those babies on under a clingy dress and boom, instant good bum.
Weekend highlight…Christmastime in NYC. Cannot get enough.
Allison says
Magic [lululemon] pants are on my wish list this year! Hope it does wonders on my buns too 😛
Weekend highlight: buying a Christmas tree!
chiara (chacha) says
My left calf is super tight because I don’t do enough yoga anymore (and I’m also full of BS excuses. Well, more that I’d rather relax a bit in the early mornings than do 30 mins on my own.).
Good luck this weekend! Hope your hip complies.
runeatrepeat says
You racing this weekend?
Khushboo says
Plans for this weekend involve nursing the fly…abd seeing New Years Eve at the cinema on Sunday…happy racing/sleighing! 😛
Amanda says
I love my lululemon pants- but I have a self imposed moratorium on buying any more pairs….of course my butt looks better- I can’t afford to eat after I buy a pair of those pants!
runeatrepeat says
Ha!
Corrie Anne says
By the way, Just curious — does your blog not load well in internet explorer? I can’t seem to get it on my work computer.
runeatrepeat says
I’m not sure? I’ll check it out.

I’ve been dying for some Lulu pants! Christmas is coming! 🙂 I had forgotten it was the weekend before you said that! I have some baking to do, and I have to do a little treadmill/study multi-tasking!!!!!
Lindsay says
You might complain about having something to fill the seat of your pants, but there are people like me who get the ugly saggy butt syndrome after wearing the pants for an hr! uggggh! 🙁
Suzanne says
I think I’m in love with the capris and pants I got from Road Runner Sports. Super comfy but they fit snugly and so far have been great for running!
Melissa @TryingtoHeal says
dude, you should have done Bobbi’s Holiday Shred. That workout is getting my butt/hips/thighs in the best shape EVER! Lets just say…it’s day 11 and my pants are now loose! Woot woot!
This weekend Whit is coming back; I’m soooooo happy! I’ve missed him! That and he’s been in Kauai so I don’t want to be jealous anymore.
Alaina says
I have to work this weekend and then I have a 5k on Sunday. Hope you have a great weekend!! 🙂
Jessica says
Sadly, I have no magic pants. But I’m stoked, I ordered a pair of those NB capris mentioned above just this morning, maybe they can be my magic pants when they arrive.
Weekend plans : Breakfast with the Big Jolly Man himself tomorrow (with the kids) and then my daughter’s first indoor soccer game on Sunday, excited!
BTW – dressing up and getting pulled by a sleigh is win. 🙂
Delia says
I have loved a brand called Kyodan that are for running, workout and yoga. They have magic butt lifting panels, soft, wicking fabric that doesn’t chafe, and are fairly cheap @ Target or Marshall’s/TJ Maxx. I’ll wear them to yoga right now (instead of running)!
Jess Geier says
My magic pants (which my trainer calls fancy pants) are from Everlast. I know it is a boxing apparel company, but they make really great women’s athletic apparel too!
Weekend plans, eat, sleep, work! Tis the busy season for me!
Missy says
Doing a 10K, can you swing by with the sleigh and help a girl out?
Amanda says
I have a pair of Victoria’s Secret yoga pants with my university’s logo all over the waistband. They’re perfect, because I look like I have school spirit when I’m really just too lazy to change into real pants after a workout.
Heather @ Run Eat Play says
My magic pants are sweatpants – they don’t make me look good, they just cover up the bulgy parts. Lol!
Love your gloves!
Losing Lindy says
I love love love my NB pair I got on clearance this past summer. They are lined with a fleece.
I have long limbs/big hands/feet. It isn’t fair..I always have to buy mens gloves…not fashionable at all!
Hannah @ eat, drink, and save money says
I have some magic pants but they only work with a loose and flowy magic shirt. They are so tight that they make my butt look great, but then they give me a slight muffin top- hence the magic shirt!
I like hearing your BS excuses for yoga- I do yoga everyday and then make up BS excuses for running!
Kathy says
I have these capris from New Balance that (I think) make my butt look good: http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/23774.htm
Also, stupid question, why does your Garmin pace say 22:19 – is that for a 5K distance? I’ve noticed that in previous posts too. Just wondering…
runeatrepeat says
That’s the reading of my current pace – should read 000 since I was standing still, but sometimes it’s off. It’s reading 22 minutes/mile.
Caitlin C. says
I just got a pair of fabulous black running capris from Old Navy. On sale for only $13! They have a “control top” thing going on around the waist so they stay super secure. I love them!
I also love the pic of you with the bread over your face. Ask a Breadican? No?
Rosa - Fitness Food Fulfilled says
I eat my cereal bowls like that too. I like them big and bulky, like my bottom.
Plans for the weekend include finding a place to live since we have to out of our house beginning of January. I hate moving during the holidays!
