Happy Monday! There were a ton of races this weekend and I loved following along on twitter with reports of the Tower 10 Miler and RnR San Jose! I am starting my big Fall racing calendar this week and I’m nervous about all the miles and travel. Did any of you run a race this weekend?
I’m a little overwhelmed by all the craziness I have coming up on the schedule, so I’ve decided to take a step back and get organized today. And I’m going to focus on the positive. So, I thought I’d spread the love with some Motivation to get it done!

Now I’m going to jot down a quick meal plan for the week and go shopping after I’m done with work stuff. I missed world vegetarian day last week, but I think I’ll make my delicious Chile Relleno Casserole as a last celebration!
Question: Have you planned out your week? How’s it looking?

I signed up for the Susan G. Komen Race to Cure breast cancer on October 26th here in Iowa! My future sister in law’s mother passed away of Breast Cancer when she was young so I decided this would be the BEST 5k to run in support of her and her loss.
I can’t wait to get out there and run with such a wonderful and powerful group of women.

I don’t really meal plan. Everything we eat comes together pretty quickly and easily; whenever I try to plan, I feel like I need to concoct RECIPES and I get all stressed. As my husband likes to say, heat & meat! (okay, and veggies, but that’s not as catchy!)

Is it wrong to brag about my 6yo?? He had a PR of 5 minutes from his last PR, and finished a very hilly 5k course in 32:54. So proud of him!!
Diana says
I did a 5k on Saturday. In two weeks I have a 10k, then a half marathon in early November. My race season is just starting!
Jenilee says
I just ran my second half on Saturday 😀 I got a PR by almost 6 minutes! It’s lucky I was tracking the distance myself because the course ended up being almost 2 miles further than it should have been. Some people’s children really have to pull up and measure things correctly…

good luck on all your upcoming races! =)

I’ve started this week recovering from the GreatScottishRun, and I’m finishing it with the CowalFest Trail Run.
Love weeks like this! 😀

love it- we are our own good causes!

Had a PR at RNR San Jose Half yesterday! 5 minutes faster than the Santa Rosa Half!

Congratulations!!! That is awesome.

I sit down on Sunday afternoon and write my workouts in my planner (in pencil) it helps to keep me focused and even if I have to change things around, the plan is there.

OMG ‘Work B**ch’ is my new favorite running song. And Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’. I never listen to the radio so when I find a pop song I like I’m usually way behind everyone else, haha.
This week is a lot of relaxing, packing and keeping my hip happy before heading out west to interior British Columbia for a marathon! It’s also Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend so I will get to eat an embaressing amount of food. I’m excited about all of this so the week is looking real good!

Ha ha, love it! Run for a good cause… yourself. I didn’t see that one coming!

I am totally a planner! I just planned our meals this week and what we are going to be doing while on my husband fall break! I guess I also plan out workouts but they are typically the same every week so that is not too hard to deal with 🙂
Taylor @ Single-tracked Mind says
Major, type A planner, but I make room in my schedule for things I want to do and things that come up.

I’ve planned out work outs for the week but that’s about as far as I’ve gotten. And a couple dinners I guess you could say. That’s progress in our house!

My plans are to enjoy it as I have the week off! I got a lot of dirty work out of the way today – cleaning out cupboards and cleaning the house. That leaves the rest of the week for long walks, museum visits and lazy lunches. Yay!

No I have been terrible at planning out my days lately. I will try and fix that today though!

This week has already been so crazy- busy sundays are super hard for me to adapt to bc i move slowly and have to plan stuff for the week.
Exam today, feeling pretty good about it but it will be challenging. Also it’s raining cats and dogs!!
One upside is because I missed an early morning yoga class due to studying. So, I’m going to an evening class! The BF is kind enough to pick me up 🙂
I guess I’m saying that I feel you in this whole stressed out craziness.
Megan says
breathhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhe. It will all be okay : ) My planned out week included breakfast for the week and lunches for the week. Training wise I started a new 5 week plan to run a 10k in November!
Lori says
I PR’d at the Maine Marathon this weekend by over 10 minutes! Completely unexpected because I had missed a lot of training runs and went into it super relaxed with no plan/expectations. 2 minutes off a BQ but I’ll take it!
Week is pretty busy but will be trying to rest and recover!
runeatrepeat says
Good job!!

Congrats from me, too! I ran just 9 miles (as part of a relay team). What a great morning for a run! I was honored to run with the likes of amazing runners like you!

My motivation to run my 2nd marathon has been Girls on the Run! I’m a sole mate (soul sister!) for a great non profit motivating young ladies to be confident! I’m looking forward to the Philadelphia Marathon, look for me in my purple GOTR shirt. 🙂

I have planned it out! It’s looking good!

I had a PR in the 10K over the weekend. Getting ready for my first half marathon in 13 days! My race yesterday was a huge confidence boost – I feel like I’m pretty much ready for my half. This week is my last hard training week and then I’m doing a small taper next week.
runeatrepeat says
Congratulations!!!

I’m pretty bad at making plans. I just have a list of things I need to do in the back of my head, and they eventually get done when I get to them. Which is eventually.

I am a major planner. I even spent HOURS yesterday cooking meals for the week. I have always cooked dinner (almost) every single night since I got married. Our schedules are a little nutty right now so we aren’t eating at the same time as often. I made our food so we can just reheat when our schedules allow. Other than food planning, I am going to a few different gym classes this week to change things up. It should be fun!
